Good Afternoon
We are putting on this post as a response to yesterday's post in regards to our kennel and it's operation. We prefer to not deal with issues via social media but have not been given any other options.
The post was put on 12 days after Benson was picked up and in that time we were never contacted about the situation. Made aware through the post we attempted to contact Bensons owner with the number left on the information sheet and no one is taking our calls.
Through this post we will try to answer and clarify concerns and explain what we can in our defense.
First our reasoning for no longer bring customers into the kennel is not to hide anything. Main reason is we have customers all through the day coming and going, when we brought people in we found it was always very disruptive for the boarded dogs. It is also very hard to communicate if the dogs are all up and barking. We have plenty of pictures on our web site and page of our facility. Each dog has its own kennel and only multiple dogs booked into same kennel by same family go together. They are then all supervised when going into group play times.
As for payments and receipts it is our policy to take payment when the stay is complete. If a customer chooses to pay on drop off it is by their own choice. Most customers have no need for a printed receipt but they are available to anyone who ask.

In regards to the pictures seen of Benson having a wonderful time here, it is because he was. He is a playful and lovable dog.

As is stated in the post when Benson was picked up it was then noted that there was matting on the side of his face. Since Benson was NOT IN ANY FIGHTS HERE we were not on the look for any issues.
We do not doubt that it turns out that Benson was ill, we do apologize for not picking up on it sooner. However the Vet even had to shave the face to truly see the issue.
And smell is hard to pick out in a kennel full of wet dogs from swimming.
We strongly now believe that since Benson swam everyday that he was here that he most likely ended up with water in his ears causing an ear infection. We have experienced this previously with our own dog. A quick Google search will show all the same symptoms that Benson was experiencing. This includes a really bad odor and a dog will scratch his own face and ears due to the irritation it is feeling. We believe the facial markings on Benson are more likely caused by him scratching himself and not a result of biting.

This we leave with you all to judge as you see fit. Feel free to share this as well with your friends. Also we are happy to hear Benson will make a full recovery.
