Christmas Eve at the Arnold’s

“Why don’t we get to see the dogs much, Mandi?”

Well, it’s a lot for them! They get an extra long walk, special chews, and then retire to our bedroom, where we play background noise to help them settle.

They typically come out to say hello a few times but not for long. They get a treat or two, go outside to p*e, and then at the end of the night, they usually come out to snuggle with the last few guests.

Howie has big emotions, and children make him a bit uneasy, so this is best for him.

Banks loves everyone! In a small space with lots of people, he can’t fully be his goofy self.

Rza, being nearly six years old, is calmer and can remove herself when it’s too much (unlike the boys, who would just become super overstimulated).

They are well-trained and do listen, but it’s a lot, especially because we don’t entertain at home much. Although, once the renovations are done, we hope to do it a lot more.

Please have a safe and happy holiday, remember the holidays can be challenging for dogs, so take a moment for some down time with them 🐾🎄
