With heavy hearts we are saddened to say our beloved barn cat, Salem passed away suddenly this morning. She was such a presence in and around the barn and she will be deeply missed. Rest easy little girl, hope you’re walking the rainbow bridge with the best of them. 😔❤️

Happy Birthday to our very own, Sweetgrass!

Sweetgrass is the heart and inspiration behind sweetgrass acres. In her 20 years, she has been the beginner horse for many young mini enthusiasts, has competed in many shows, won multiple awards and has bred some beautiful babies.

Even after years of ownership, we are still learning new things about Sweetgrass’ past and the things she has accomplished, by other enthusiasts who have encountered her on their journies.

We named sweetgrass acres in honour of sweetgrass, for minis everywhere who deserve a forever home after a long career in the show ring. She has worked her butt off for years and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate all of her accomplishments than to give her a home she can enjoy and be pampered at!

We will be wishing her the happiest of birthdays by spoiling her rotten with cookies ans treats!

We love you sweetgrass, and thank you for being the best heart horse a family can ask for ❤️
