Hi All,
Next Training Day is this Sunday July 28th at 9am!
We have had to move to a new training location at 636 Southside Rd, Upper Stewiacke, NS, Canada
**A second location in Berwick is also available so please message us if that location works better, we can arrange training days for there as well

NAVHDA tests this weekend! Here is some info:

Test day is just Saturday (June 22nd). Everyone should be on site by 7am with first dog in field at 7:30. Please try to be on time so we can get the day started promptly!

Reminder for everyone to bring lots of water (for yourself and perhaps more importantly for your dog!! They work hard out there!) and a chair so you can relax while others are taking their turns.

Lunch will be available for a donation to the chapter.

Thanks everyone and best of luck! Should be a great day where you get to see some of your work pay off and also learn a thing or two along the way!

Just to be clear, we do not have birds onsite this year ready to use unless you pre-order ahead of time. If you haven’t already please let us know ASAP if you want birds for this Sunday April 28.

For new members, if you are coming for puppy bird introduction, you are going to want a bird preordered for this!

Cost this year is 14$/bird and we can take etransfer ahead of time to [email protected] or we can take debit/credit on site.

Hi everyone!

Our first training day of the year is this Sunday April 28th. Looking forward to seeing everyone again! We will be starting at 9am however if you have a puppy who has not been introduced to birds yet we will be doing this bird introduction session starting at 8am (to give them the attention they deserve!).

Some reminders for training days:
Bring a leash! a long leash can be useful if you have it.
Bring water (for yourself and dog).
Bring sunscreen/bug spray.
Good waterproof footwear is recommended.

If you haven't already, PLEASE fill out our membership form at the link below. It is very important for us to know our numbers of members and receive membership dues ($125/individual and $15 for each extra family member).

Last thing, we are pre-ordering birds this year. If you would like a Chukar to train with, let us know by tomorrow (Thursday April 25) so we can have them there for you on the training day. We can take payment via etransfer ahead of time or you can pay with credit/debit on the day of training. Cost this year is 14$/bird.

With the 2024 season quickly approaching, here are the training dates.
- April 28
- May 26
- June 16
- NAVDHA Test June 22-23
- July 28
- August 25
- September 29

Training will begin at 9 am! We will be pre-booking puppy training this year, beginning at 8 am. Training will take place at 294 McKay Road, West Hants, NS.

Training sessions require membership to both the bluenose chapter and NAVHDA International. Chapter dues are $125 per individual with $15 per additional family member.

We are going to be at the Atlantic Outdoor Sports and RV Show this weekend! March 8-10.

We will have a booth set up where we will be selling tickets for a chance to win a brand new Ruffland Kennel (tickets only sold in person at the event)!!
