Where grooming is a pawsitive experience. My name is Sonia Edwards and I'm a dogaholic! My professional history is a mix of administration and animal care.

I was the manager of a no kill animal shelter, worked at a veterinary hospital where I did everything from reception to assisting with surgery, running lab tests, filling prescriptions and feeding the clinic cows. After years of intrigue I finally obtained training to become a groomer through an apprenticeship and in 2011 Edwards Scissorhounds Canine Salon was born. Animal Rescue has been importa

nt to me since before I even had a dog. Our first dog was adopted in 1998 and I have been involved with rescue ever since. In over 20 years I have never worked with a more dedicated and compassionate team. I am very proud to work alongside all the volunteers of Misfit Manor Dog Rescue. My husband Dennis and I currently share our lives with 3 wonderful rescue dogs!

Are you and your dog struggling with recall or just looking for a way to have some fun together? I highly recommend this workshop! Bentley and I attended a couple of weeks ago and have made these training games part of our daily routine. It's so much fun you could forget you are both learning. But then there are those results to remind you that sometimes play has a purpose. Go sign yourselves up, you won't be sorry. 🐾

Now that I have done two of these workshops I can see how much people are enjoying taking a 'games-based" approach to developing an amazing connection with their dogs which results in a stronger recall.

Angela was one of the first groomers I met. We used to meet for lunches in Truro along with another groomer. As a new groomer those lunches were how we supported one another, sharing tips and tricks, always encouraging each other. Angela is a very skilled and kind groomer who is well respected in the industry. Any dog would be lucky to land on her table.

What a difference a week can make! Last Monday morning we were rushing Daisy to the Atlantic Veterinary College for emergency surgery. This morning at only 6 days post op and she is improving each day. 🐾🚶‍♀️🌭 Thank you again to my clients for being so understanding about the short notice schedule changes all week. It meant a lot ❤️
