Parker and Friends Playgroup

Due to the Corona Virus and jobs being shut down, Parker and Friends has a part time to potential full time position available.

We are taking extreme steps within our home to keep all surfaces and busy areas wiped and sanitized to the best of our abilities as well all toys! The children have been practicing frequent hand washing during this scary time!

I am so sorry for the late replies and messages! My hubby ended up hospitalized and had to get his appendix removed and it was quite hectic. Now that things have calmed down I am going through all messages and trying to respond ASAP. I am so sorry, and thank you for understanding!

Hey there!

My name is Brittany and I am 28 years old living in West Kelowna near Superstore.
In December of 2016 I was blessed with my beautiful baby boy, Parker. Who is now almost 3 years old!! Since the end of 2016 I have been running a small playgroup through our home, so I am available to be there for my son while being able to teach and watch him grow and learn while hanging out with some of his favorite little friends.
So, I thought I'd write a little about myself in advance so you get a feel of who I am before contacting me.

My hubby and I both went to elementary and high school together in Vernon. We moved here in 2014 because I got a job offer. Right now, we are living in West Kelowna in a basement suite. (VERY KID FRIENDLY HOME). Upstairs tenants are lovely and also have kids!

We have a VERY kid friendly dog, who is an 9 year old American Pitbull Terrier. After having her for over six years - I realize the struggle it is owning a breed that is so easily judged and we are so ok with that. We have no problem kenneling our girl while we have children in the home if that makes the parents comfortable. She has her own big kennel and loves to hang out in our master bedroom with all her toys and big bed most of the time as is.

We have a large yard as well as a smaller yard (fenced) with a slide/toys as well as a pool and water table in the summer!

We only own one car which my hubby takes daily (Mon-Fri) for work, but we are walking distance to a park and Just4Fun!

As of November 1st, I will have 1 full time spot available for a child aged 2 years +.

I have 1 to 2 PART TIME (Potentially Full Time if it's the perfect fit) spot available for a child 2+ years of age in my LNR day home. Right now I have WEDNESDAY to FRIDAY available. 8-5(ish) I'm flexible!

In 2017 my hubby and I had decided that instead of going back to work, that I would stay at home, do some babysitting, while watching my son grow. Well, Over THREE years now - it has turned into a full time job (THAT I LOVE!) The kids and I do everything from arts and crafts, sign language, baking, Just4Fun dates and I am also walking distance (a block) to Springer Park! We are a TV friendly home because my son loves his Peppa and Free W***y. Yes. Free W***y..

So, I thought I'd write a little about myself in advance so you get a feel of who I am before contacting me.

She is always kenneled when snacks are brought out - She's essentially allergic to everything. We also have snails that the kids love to watch and feed. And fish tanks, which the kids are also obsessed with. I think every child I watch owns a snail now? Haha

We only own one car which my hubby takes daily (Mon-Fri) for work. So unfortunately I am unable to pick up/drop off to schools.
We have a giant yard as well as a small side yard that is completely fenced, with seating as well as a playhouse, pool, slide, water table and toys.

Our sweet Ruby girl went to her vet check up to look into the hard lump that has been growing on her side of her rib. Unfortunately, she is in need of surgery as soon as possible to get the lump removed as there is a very high risk that is cancerous. There is some testing that will need to be do...
