🌟Wishlist Star🌟

Another big thanks to Caroline for some more goodies for our pups. High value treats help so much for us to train and bond with the dogs in the shelter. Many dogs come to us fearful of new people and places after not getting proper socialization in their previous lives. 🦴

Princess here trusted us right away due to the help of our lovely treat donors! 🐾❤️ Become a wishlist star by taking a look at our list today: https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/ls/27HGQGHV4C2OI?ref_=wl_share

🥰 MARGE and in charge!

Can you believe perfect girl Marge just landed her forever home!? Marge waited several months for the perfect person to come along and see what's so special about her. Of course we ADORE all of our animals, but there is a particularly special place in our hearts for our senior critters that tend to wait a bit longer than the others. We are thrilled Marge has found her forever home where she can enjoy being spoiled and loved like she deserves.

Let's hear it for Marge! Have you adopted a sweet senior from us before? Please send us updates to [email protected], OR post some photos in the comments below!

🐰WISHLIST STAR 💫

Thank you so much Brigid for the CareFresh our small animals so desperately needed!

Garth and Galinda wanted to personally thank their best bun Brigid for thinking of them 💖 Did you know rabbits can be litter trained? Rabbits usually p**p while they are eating, so filling their litterbox with CareFresh AND hay teaches them to use their litter box when they need the bathroom! These two have already made huge training improvements and we can’t wait to see who scoops them up.

Hip hip hooray for Brigid! 🐾

‼️ STRAY CAT ‼️

Do you recognize this very handsome boy? He has been seen wandering the Inglewood area of West Vancouver for the last 5 months. He is around 11months old and not neutered, he also unfortunately has no form of identification.

He is in good health and is extremely sweet. He’s enjoying a nice warm space with bedding and food before the scary fireworks start outside tonight.

Please reach out to us if you recognize this cat, or SHARE this post to help find his guardian! If he is not claimed by a guardian he will be up for adoption following his stray-hold period.

🎃Stray Alert ‼️ Happy Halloween🎃

We found this stray running down by the beach, he must have been spooked by some fireworks, does anyone recognize him? 🐺

All jokes aside - Remember this holiday can be quite stressful for the animals with lots of noise (fireworks) and strangers running around in scary costumes. 👻

It’s a good idea to keep your pets safe inside tonight, make sure they are equipped with proper ID in case of any emergencies, and store your candy treasures out of your pet’s reach! 🍬🐾

🤩 WISHLIST STAR 🌟

Thank you to our incredible volunteer Caroline for donating a MUCH needed metal hose and some treats for our small animals!

This hose is going to streamline our cleaning process and make morning kennel cleans much smoother as it’s much longer than our previous hose. We are so grateful for your thoughtful donation that helps staff and animals alike!

We couldn’t do it without you, thank you Caroline 💕

🌟Wishlist Star🌟

Thank you Nick for helping us keep all of our dirty dishes squeaky clean! Did you know we use about 60 dishes every day in the shelter? And that doesn't even include cutlery and human dishes! Shout out to all of the volunteers that use their elbow grease to help us get all of the dishes done. 🧽🧼

We are still fundraising for an industrial dishwasher! If you would like to help us reach our goal - get in contact or visit us in person to make a donation! 💸❤️

🚑MEDICAL ALERT🩺

Sweet Mochi came to us with a horrible dental infection, severe urinary infection, an infected abscess, and physical trauma to his eye. He needs many teeth removed and his eye removed as well in order to be free of pain. We are urgently fundraising to reach a goal of $6,290 to help cover the cost of all his vet care. 💔

Despite his level of distress when he arrived, Mochi is still an extremely affectionate, happy, and playful boy. He loves to show off his toys, go for walks, play with other dogs, and rest his head on your lap to ask for pats. 🐾

To help Mochi on his journey to a new happy, healthy life, please consider donating for him today at: https://www.medical.spca.bc.ca/animal/313/ 💸

We can't understand why these two beautiful bunnies, Galinda and Garth have been in care for over 375 days.

These two stunning white fluffy buns are very social and interactive. They instantly get excited when they see you enter the room and will run over and stand up on their hind legs to get your love & attention. They will even give you a nudge and put their front feet on your legs!

Having yummy treats in your hands is a big bonus for them, as they are super food motivated. They love fresh hay, greens, and food pellets! They love food puzzles and foraging, and will happily show off their skills in problem solving.

Both rabbits are still learning to solely use their litterboxes, and are still in litterbox training-mode. They beautiful buns are bonded with each other, so they will need to go to their new home together as they truly love each other. When they are not munching on something nice or taking a snooze...they can be found exploring, playing with boxes, jumping on top of boxes, chasing each other, or doing binkies!

If you are interested or think you could be the right fit for them, please do not hesitate to drop by during our opening hours to visit (Tuesday-Sunday 12-3pm) or give us a call!
