Seedy Saturdays & Sundays are back for 2022

We grow heirloom varieties on our 'No dig' farm garden in Ashburn, Whitby and we are a member of Seeds of Diversity in Canada, promoting seed saving, sowing ecologically producing seeds for growing veggies, food crop bio-diversity, protecting pollinators and promoting local seed libraries

Check out the full list of this years events 👇

As March approaches, more and more and events are popping up. Like 2021, they are different from in ‘normal’ years, but we feel confident they will carry the spirit of what these events are all about - seeds.

Read more about what to expect and what we’ve been doing to support them: https://seeds.ca/d/?t=0028e8a400004295-a744732

Our farm garden took a bit of battering from the storm ⚡️🌧 💨

Sunflower stems were broken or bent over, though the birds and bees don't mind this and our okra has been blown down.

Our very first harvest of a delicious rare and unique heirloom okra from the Southern US state of Alabama, grown from seed.

This variety has fat, red-tinged 4" pods that are great fried or in my favourite gumbo soup or stew recipe.

We will be saving most of the seeds to grow a bigger crop next year to share with you.
