Our Bees produce Raw Wildflower Honey from the fields & forest of Durham Region. Our Chickens & ducks are on pasture & live in spacious coops at night.

Spa day for Cheryl Crow!
Warm bath with Epson salts, bribing with treats to see what is going on with her foot she is favouring!
She seems to like the warm water, she has been sitting in it for a half hour & not trying to escape! 🤷‍♀️

New additions to the funny farm!
Lucky the chicken was brought here last month after a fox killed her 3 sisters, she would have been next but the owner came out just in time which is why I called her Lucky!
Beatrice the Pekin duck wearing her fashionable duck diapers came this weekend! Her Mom was heartbroken to give her up but knew she needed to be with other ducks not alone all day as she worked. She rescued her from being someone’s dinner!
Then we have Scooter the male mallard who came here at 1 week old and has grown up to be handsome boy! He hangs out & sleeps with the chickens
We haven’t told him he is a duck! 🤷‍♀️

Today we said goodbye to One eyed Big Gentle Ben. He was from the first hatch I put in the incubator 9 years ago so he was my special boy. I knew he was feeling his age as I didn’t get any brown chicks this year!
He loved yogurt which always got it on his waddle & would let the girls clean him off!
