Checkers who has never hatched any chicks has just adopted our one month old special needs chick! She has wry neck, when she has an episode her head spins around (like the Exorcist😳)
And her head hits the ground!
I call her Headbanger🤷‍♀️
Checkers protects her from her siblings & other aggressive chickens!

Introduced the new duckling to the group tonight. So far so good but big sister keeps giving it a poke! In 3 days the older ones have grown twice the size!
As it looks like Momma Blu it will be called Baby Blu!

The big intro!
Blu seems to have accepted the ducklings (well she didn’t bite their heads off 🤷‍♀️) and they are climbing all over her! She is still guarding the 20 eggs she shared with the other 2 Moms that have gone to the big pond in the sky
After 9 years it still brings a tear to my eyes🥲
