Razor Burn | Razor Irritation

There has been and is currently ALOT of mis-information and lack of understanding on the above topic circulating on Facebook.

Groomers are taught to use a 10 or 15 blade on sanitary, nose bridge and ear divot.

I stop the practice of the nose bridge because I didn’t like the look on doodles - which as a side-affect of Covid has flooded groomers shops.
I still use a 10 or 15 blade on the faces of non-doodle breeds with zero issues.

Are doodles more sensitive to Razor Irritation? YES
Are ALL doodles prone | sensitive to Razor Irritation? NO
Does the level of sensitivity vary doodle to doodle? YES

Razor Burn | Razor Irritation is not a SIGN of a careless, mean, or hurtful groomer.

Am I, as a groomer and business owner working on educating myself and my staff on how to decrease the number of incidences? YES
How to adapt to grooming doodles? YES

BUT…we BOTH need to educate ourselves and as your groomer - it’s my job to educate you, my clients owner.
