We might’ve just turned the bulls out, but we’ve got breeding season for the mare cavvy all wrapped up! A huge thank you to Dr. Peats and all the crew at McBurney Veterinary Services for all their hard work, knowledge and excellent care once again.

This seemed to be a year of pivoting, but we’re excited to be expecting foals by Special Made Whiskey (by Gunners Special Nite), SB Gunnablitzya (by Gunnatrashya) and of course our favourite guy, SRG Heaven Revvy (by Einsteins Revolution).

Found our first set of triplets out in the calving field!

Moms a bit flighty, was a real struggle finding enough ear to stick a tag into, but they got a mouth on ‘em that looks like they’ll be able to handle even those balloon teats the Simmental folks don’t wanna talk about 😜.

(In reality, I was tagging a calf off a young Simmi influence cow with a picture perfect udder when I happened to look a few feet over and spotted these little critters. Snapped a quick pic and then left to cause both mamas the least stress we could!)

“Casino” is a red dun by SRG Heaven Revvy (by Einstein’s Revolution) out of Mobstersleadinglady (by HF Mobster). With both grand sites being million dollar producers in the NRHA, we’re betting this guy should be a real fancy ranch pony.

Zippered three ring binders!

These are made of soft and supple leather, standard three ring binder that also have a “clipboard” spot for a full size note pad. There’s a built in folder for loose papers, a zippered pocket to hold pens/loose objects as well as some smaller pockets (think business cards, pack of sticky notes…).

When I first saw these, my first thought was that they would be a protective and stylish way to store registration papers, but there is plenty more ideas that come to mind! If you run a mobile business that does paper invoicing, these have you covered. Putting up a booth somewhere for your ranch/small business? Make a photo gallery of your products (you can’t take all your bulls to the show! Or if you do custom crafting, display your past works!). Put some blank pages in and do some journaling/manifesting.

Unfortunate news, I’ve been down with the sickness and will NOT be attending the Beef Pen Show in Medicine Hat this weekend. I am so disappointed as I had such a great time last year, and I’m so sorry!
If you had planned on attending, I hope you still head out! They have such a great group of vendors lined up and there is sure to be some top notch shopping for you last minuters… or maybe just to treat yourself if you have your holiday shopping already wrapped up!

Pic is of Hank, saving my respiratory system and letting me hitch a ba****ck ride to check the cow critters as you can’t get to them with anything wheeled. Always a gent, that guy!
