🌟New for this winter season!!🌟

We will be offering a GREAT seasonal haul-in fee. This will be for the whole winter season and will include a tie stall for your horse to dry off in before you trailer them, as well as a warm coffee room for you while you wait (including coffee and hot chocolate)!

Other services: BOARDING - private and semi-private pens, weanling boarding, conditioning and a limited number of training spots.

The old sale barn got some tlc this fall! Built in 1977, it is the oldest building on the ranch. MANY great horses were sold in this building and MANY great memories were made as it was the spot of the Sabre Quarter Horse Ranch Production Sale for over 25 years!! It was also used as an arena in the winter/spring months. It now provides valuable shelter for the babies when weaned, Henri, in his down time and broodmares in bad weather. 🥰🥰

“Timing and feel. It’s a life long deal.” - Trevor Mertes

Trevor often says this at his clinics, and it’s one of the most important things to remember as a horseman. The horses will learn until they pass away, and so will we, when we allow ourselves to.

We can always learn a new approach, or way to help the horse through what they’re going through, by doing less in order to achieve more.

The count down is on to retirement for these two!! At 28 and (somewhere around) 30 they have more than earned a cushy rest. They got to teach the older girls a lesson on what it takes to keep these older horses going, recognizing any stiffness and helping them stay in shape and supple. 🥰
**Maintenance is key!!**
So while their regular lesson schedules will be done this fall they still have lessons to teach we guess!
ZIP and LUCKY- worth their weight in gold!! ❤️❤️

⭐️September 8th 2024 at the Bonnett arena⭐️

We are looking forward to bringing you the 6th Annual Fall Classic Rope Horse Futurity! A few details are still in the works but here’s a quick poster update on what we do know!

The growth in the Futurity industry in Canada has been an exciting one to be a part of! With that comes new growth of our own event. This year we are excited to welcome back The Breeders Elite Roping Incentive and look forward to welcoming the Royal Crown Canada Incentive as side-pots for eligible horses. 2024 will also be the year we include a long standing idea for an Intermediate Incentive, put in place for the 6+ and lower roper. This Incentive will payout two sidepots, one for the 4yro horses (head and heel combined) and one for the 5-6yro group. Payout will be calculated on the highest scoring horses within each age category.

We want to recognize that we could not have grown this event to what it is without the help of all of the sponsors who have joined us through the years! Their support has been an integral part of our success. If you or your company is interested in joining us as a 2024 sponsor, please reach out, we have various packages available with different levels of promotion for your company and would love to have you join our team!

We are still waiting on confirmation from prospective judges, and a total added money amount for the roping as a whole. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available and as always, please reach out if you have any questions!

The entry link will post here on our page Saturday August 10th and remain up until August 20th, late entries will only be accepted until August 24th and are subject to a fee.
