⭐️September 8th 2024 at the Bonnett arena⭐️

We are looking forward to bringing you the 6th Annual Fall Classic Rope Horse Futurity! A few details are still in the works but here’s a quick poster update on what we do know!

The growth in the Futurity industry in Canada has been an exciting one to be a part of! With that comes new growth of our own event. This year we are excited to welcome back The Breeders Elite Roping Incentive and look forward to welcoming the Royal Crown Canada Incentive as side-pots for eligible horses. 2024 will also be the year we include a long standing idea for an Intermediate Incentive, put in place for the 6+ and lower roper. This Incentive will payout two sidepots, one for the 4yro horses (head and heel combined) and one for the 5-6yro group. Payout will be calculated on the highest scoring horses within each age category.

We want to recognize that we could not have grown this event to what it is without the help of all of the sponsors who have joined us through the years! Their support has been an integral part of our success. If you or your company is interested in joining us as a 2024 sponsor, please reach out, we have various packages available with different levels of promotion for your company and would love to have you join our team!

We are still waiting on confirmation from prospective judges, and a total added money amount for the roping as a whole. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available and as always, please reach out if you have any questions!

The entry link will post here on our page Saturday August 10th and remain up until August 20th, late entries will only be accepted until August 24th and are subject to a fee.

We lost one of our own this past weekend.💔💔 Laurie was part of our Sabre family for so many years. What a lady...such a tough exterior but a marshmallow inside. We shared so many laughs, some tears and so many great "horsey" moments. She shared all our high times and we always knew she was genuinely happy for us but would also let us know when we needed to adjust our thinking. Lol. We can never fully express how much we thought of this special lady!! 😪

This sure isn't the typical photo you see on our page, but too cool (for us anyway 😁) not to share!! SABRE MINT on this guy's pedigree!! 😯 Sabre Mint was bred here on the ranch and had a little stint as a calf roping horse ( trained by Merv Quam). His sire, White Mud Possum, was the very first stallion to stand at Sabre Quarter Horse Ranch! That's the breeding business- good horses bred to good horses bred to good horses.....produce great ones!! Most of the time it's a fun and exciting venture!! 😅😅

Well, that concludes 12 GREAT days of clinics with Jim Anderson! It went too fast! As always after a good night's rest we find ourselves missing everyone. Lol I guess that means so many of you have become family! 🥰

It was amazing to see so much progress, learning, stellar horsemanship and connection with all the horses and their owners, whether working c**ts or riding more broke horses. The comments are always the same " Jim has such an unique ability to read people and horses." YES HE DOES!!

Thank you to all of you who make these clinics possible and make them a highlight of our year!! We will let you know when dates and plans are finalized for next year. ☺️

When we count our blessings we count the little grey horse twice!! ❤️❤️
When he was alive we didn't think there was another horse with as much personality, smarts and heart as him. He was such a BIG presence! If you got to meet him you know what we mean.

Never in our wildest dreams did we ever imagine he would still be making an impact on the performance horse industry years after he was gone. We are blessed to have 2 daughters and a granddaughter of his in our broodmare band to carry on his genetics!

Some "fun" Blue facts:
*He passed away in the fall of his 29th year, with all his mare's in foal- his count never went down!! 😳
*Every year (yup even into his twenties) , his first ride when you stepped on he would dance around all tight- like he thought you would be disappointed if he didn't. Lol Or maybe to remind us that he could get rid of you if he wanted. 🤷‍♀️ 😁
* He was trained to cut on dairy cows. When Greg bought him, he left him at a trainers in ND for a month and was shown a month later, winning his class. To our knowledge he had never been shown.
* At 21 he broke his jaw and got plates in. His body never excepted the plates but by then he was too old to risk surgery again. Infection should have spread throughout him but never did and he lived for years that way. He was tough!
There are so many great little stories about Blue's life, too many to write. One Thing that we do know is, Sabre Quarter Horse Ranch sure wouldn't have been the same without him!
