Friendly reminder to please pick up after your dog outside of the shop! (And to take them potty before you bring them in so they don't go on my floor would be much appreciated as well!) If you don't have bags just pop in and ask for one, I always have something and a p**p disposal system! And please don't let them p*e on the building as well, the landlord and I would really appreciate it! Thank you!

I hope all of my clients had a wonderful holiday season, I know I don't post as much as usual as I am just so dang busy but I will try and post more regularly this year!
With that said, this year my prices will be going up $5 as unfortunately my costs to operate (shampoo, products, equipment & maintenance etc) have significantly increased and I've held off on a price raise as long as I can. But ultimately if I want to continue to groom I need to increase my prices a little bit. I hope you all understand!

✨The Barking Barber is moving to a new location! ✨

I will now be at #1-65 First Ave South (near Red Shreds just two blocks down from the old location)
Unfortunately the move has not been so smooth due to delays in the tub build so I will have to reschedule some appointments this coming week (I will be calling people to make a plan)
Thank you so much to the clients I've had to move already for being kind and accommodating during these unexpected delays that are out of my control at this time!
Can't wait to share the new space with all of my furry friends once we're all set up 😁💞🐾

Hello! Hope everyone is having a great summer. Just a few notes about appointments.

Please make sure you are on time for your appointments, if you are running late please give me a call and let me know. I try to be as flexible as possible but it's becoming a problem with people showing up late for their appointments and that can cause issues for the rest of the schedule for the day. Appointments that are late 15 minutes or more will be considered a no show and will be charged 50% of the appointment fee and will need to be rescheduled (which will be about a 4 month wait)

Dogs will need to be picked up within half an hour of my call or time that I've told you to pick up. There will be an extra fee of $10 for late pickups (unless previously discussed with me) as unfortunately I do not have the space to hold dogs for more than their appointment slot.

I love all of my customers and hate to be the bad guy but as I am extremely busy these days my time is valuable and there are many clients hoping to get in. Also please note that payment is due the day of the appointment.

To all my furry clients who are booked in next week, keep in mind the extreme heat wave that is predicted! my shop is in a very old building with no ac. I have a portable AC however I think it won't keep up in the 40⁰ temps. If the shop becomes too hot I may have to cancel appointments or send dogs home, especially for the bigger guys who will have to be in here for longer than an hour, I don't want anyone's pups to be at risk of heat stroke. People bringing multiple dogs will need to bring one at a time to lessen the time spent in the shop. If I have to cancel appointments I will do my best to rebook you within a timely manner, but I am booking very far out so it may take a couple weeks before I can get everyone squeezed in. ( I apologize in advance as I know people have been waiting a long time for their dates)

I'll be keeping an eye on the forecast this weekend and if it's still looking like 40⁰+ I will be calling everyone. If you think you'd like to just go ahead and reschedule to a cooler time please send a message. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding! ❤️🐶

🎊🎉The Barking Barber has been in the new location for a whole year!! Thank you to all my clients for making this the best year ever! 🎉🎊

As we enter the busy spring season I just wanted to let everyone know I'm currently booking 10-12 weeks out and so I'm unable to take on new clients at this time! I will let everyone know when I'm able to again!

Covid update!
I am still working and taking bookings (booking for March now) until further notice. I won't be doing walk in's at this time with the current covid situation. I can still do nail trims just by appointment only. The front door will now be locked so when you arrive to drop your pup off and to pick up there is now a doorbell to ring that's on the right side of the door! As always, all equipment is heavily sanitized between each client and masks are mandatory during drop off and pickup for everyone's safety! 😊 Thank you for your patience and understanding!
