Here is another bull we think very highly of - he has a different style compared to the WTW bull calves this year. A little sleeker in his design but just as thick!

JS Sure Bet 4T x a daughter of RF Merchant 481B (JNLC 203K), a first calf heifer who is doing a fantastic job!

Sure Bet is also the sire of Drake Poker Face 2X whose semen is highly sought after & daughters are producing equally sought after embryos!

203K was AI’d to LRX Blaze 55X for an early January calf. She was also exposed to our herd sire MRC Kill Switch 39H.

Spring has been busy!

Got all the commercial cows processed & sorted into their breeding groups. Had a nice abscess for Kaden 🤢 (not something I can do).

Wrapped up AI’ing with a group of commercial cows we sync’d & bred to KT San Quentin 3483.

Looks like we’ve had good success AI’ing the purebreds as there’s been minimal return heats. Some exciting breedings for 2025!

Bulls are busy with all their breeding groups!

Next up will be fence checking & getting cows to their summer pastures at the end of June.

Busy weekend - got the heifer pen cleaned out before the CAT goes on to do other projects this spring. Bred a couple cows while we had the kid home & tagged a crap ton of calves that got neglected over a couple weeks when we were all working. Enjoying the beautiful weather this weekend! ☀️🐮

Our Story

Raising top quality, natural beef using Simmental and Angus genetics.

In 2018, we began incorporating AI breeding to utilize breed leading sires. Our son, Kaden, is currently building a small herd of purebred Simmental.

The mature cows are wintered on barley swath grazing and come into the calving grounds 2 weeks before calves begin popping. Heifers and older cows stay closer to the yard, being fed hay along with greenfeed and grain when its frigid cold.

We calve Apr/May and pairs turned out to grass pasture within 2 days. The herd goes to summer pasture at the beginning of July along with the bulls and stay until end of October, early November. Calves are weaned at 6 months in November and shipped straight off the cow to Olds Auction Mart.
