Wondering what to do with your real Christmas tree - at Vanderlaand our critters would be happy to receive it . Please make sure trees are decoration free, either place it at our lane if after hours. If during the day you are welcome to drive up and place by the goat pen ( you will see where other trees are )
If wanting to visit the farm we will have a few days available for this. Please park in yard , pay and go out to visit the animals, feed will be available to purchase . Cash please at the farm .
-no bathroom facilities
-playgrounds is closed in the winter
-laneway is one way traffic

Spreading Christmas joy yesterday at the Christmas tree lot for habitat for Humanity
It was a return engagement, got to love that and he has already booked us for 2025 .
Lots of comments on the animals , so friendly , such a unique group and all look so happy and well . We take great pride with what we do and most important is our animals . ❤️

It’s national “llama day” and our Candy sure deserves to be celebrated. She is a star and has been an important part of our farm for many years.
*Candy’s story she is the last of a group of 5 that were given to the farm after their owner passed away. She is a bit of an old lady but we hope she continues to enjoy the farm .

Flapjack our miniature spotted jack is still available. He is now weaned and is ready to go the end of the month. He is 5 months old.
The personality on this fella is amazing. He loves people. Leads well. Had his hooves trimmed and he was like an old pro. Easy going friendly and the cutest baby.
If you want to add a miniature donkey to the family. This is the fella
When he is old enough usually around 1 year old he needs to be gelded to continue to be a good boy . This is something you will discuss with your vet .

Today the mobile petting zoo was setup right in Wi******er for their Christmas market , sure was nice to be so close to home. It was a great event , carollers, Santa & Mrs.Clause, horse drawn wagon rides and us the petting zoo. Many people mention that they loved the atmosphere and that it felt like a Hallmark Christmas movie . Plus the weather was perfect for a November day . Thanks to all who visited us and thanks to the organizers of this local event. We were so happy to be part of it.
Also had a number of people asking if we were going to be here or there in the coming weeks. We only go where we are invited to , it’s does cost to have the petting zoo at your event. If you are an organizer of a coming event. Please message to inquire.

* Farm Experiences are unique hands on educational time hanging out with farmer Ruth and some of our amazing animals.
* outside experience will be dependent on weather
* after your experience you can visit the rest of the farm and animals .
*if you don’t see something here you like and have other ideas please don’t be shy, anything is possible.
*be sure to visit our funky chickens they are missing everyone too (mealworms available to purchase)

Cost is $100 up to 5.  More than 5 is possible with extra $ . For 1 hour experience .
