Big dogs today! Didn’t take pics of all of them, but we had over a half ton of dogs (just those four - didn’t count the regular sized ones) today. Here’s one. She was a gentle giant.

Yesterday was a tough day.  Heather’s beloved Afghan hound Jojo, died at 9 years of age. He was a spectacular show dog.  An American Champion.  His registered name was Bombay’s Desert Warrior of Etrigan-Mithra.  And he was LOVED.  Heather and his sisters will miss him.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Jo-Jo and being able to walk him down Tecumseh Road to Manning after a groom; and BOY did he stop traffic!  People coming out from GoodLife or TMC would wait to see me walk past again with that elegance, the hairiest Afghan I’ve ever seen.   A full bottle of human grade shampoo and conditioner to wash him, and hours of dedicated and skilled brushing.  The result was outstanding.  

Heather took great care of him, and although he had to be euthanized, in her words…. “Better to put them down a week too early than a day too late.”  They can’t tell you when they are suffering.

My favorite of the day today. Beau, a very dignified (for his age) one year old shepherd, doodle, husky cross that is channeling his inner bouvier du Flanders. He was the goodest of boys- very stoic. Look at the one blue eye, one brown eye. What a dude. (Wouldn’t take a treat from me tho, because he was mad at me…)

It’s important: vet usually charges $30-40 we charge $15 for a cut and $20 for a dremmel. Walk-in service Tuesday to Saturday 8-1

Open Tuesday to Sat 8-1 for walk in nail trims. $15 tax included MasterCard, visa, debit and cash.

Earlier this week this little dude came in, his nails so long they crossed over his toes. It affects gait and causes pain. If $ is an issue let us know, we have compassion. Judgement free zone, first client isn’t the paying customer- it’s the animal.

No negative comments please, we don’t know what is going on in people’s lives.
