He is super brave for his monthly injections, and they make his golden years smoother. Be sure you are checking in with a veterinarian as your pet ages to ensure all their needs are met.

Mental Health Awareness Day was this month, and while we hope everyone is taking care of themselves- get some fresh air, do something you enjoy! - it's important to remember stress effects the body as much as the mind.

This is 100% true for animals as well, which is why we offer many stress diets that focus on improving the health of our little loved ones. The various stress diets pictured help pets who are anxious, agitated or shy, and also helps those with specific medical conditions like IBD and urinary problems, to prevent inflammation and other continuing symptoms. Talk to a veterinarian about which diet best suits your pet!

We were excited to see Stella the other day! She came by to double check her weight for her next dose of Nexgard Spectra. She sure is a growing girl!

Say hi to Mabel! She is an absolute sweetheart, and just loves meeting people. Unfortunately, Mabel did have a scary incident recently. She came in late at night, not feeling like herself at all, and once it was detected she had GDV, immediate action was required. Thankfully, she has made a wonderful recovery, and is back on her farm having fun with her friends!

GDV, also known as bloat, is a very serious medical emergency that can happen in larger breed dogs, in which the stomach flips. Dogs who have a lot of exercise after a large meal are more at risk. Symptoms include their stomach becoming large and/or hard, retching, and pacing with an elevated heart rate. Bring your dog to a vet immediately if you at all suspect GDV.
