Here are the kitties we have and their information.
Our famous Tippy and Toddy. Soon to be 13 years old. Bonded brothers.
Tangy and Oktoberfest. Two bonded ginger brothers. Both 4.
George and Aspen. Two more bonded pairs. Both gingers. Aspen is female and George is male. Aspen is 8 and George is 7.
Jax and Remi are bonded friends. Remi is 4 and Jax is 2. These two are nuts. Haha. Lots of energy. They are fantastic.
And our nervous Dusty and Rosie. Not bonded but friends here.
Dusty is ginger and 5 and his friend Rosie is 4.

We are excited to be hosting our first adoption event at Yay For Strays Cat Cafe ! This Sunday, August 25, our staff will be at the cafe with lots of adorable adoptable kittens. To meet the kitties, just book your appointment with the cafe (226-674-1125), and if you find the right floof for you, you can choose your own adoption fee and take them home that same day! There is a $10 fee to enjoy the cafe for your one hour appointment.

If you have had time to visit our cat lounge you would have met our precious Tippy and Toddy. Two bonded senior boys who are the longest cats to be residents of the Humane Society.
We have had the pleasure of fostering Tippy and Toddy here at Yay for Strays since opening our doors in February. We have had plenty of potential adopters for these two seniors but who wants to bring home a kitty that is going to have issues peeing outside the littler box?
Because Tippy has struggles in this area. And it is a lot to ask a potential adopter to try and figure this issue out. We have spent hours everyday cleaning our lounge and changing litters to find one he likes and have 6 feliways going and give Tippy all the love we can to try and figure out his needs but he still sprays. I will say he has reduced his spraying quite significantly since we have had him and have learnt some of his needs.
His main need. Love. Lots and lots of love. You canât pet Tippyâs butt hard enough. He will even leave a puddle of drool because he gets so happy with butt pets.
And good news. Really good news. Jackson Galaxy has approved us for a consultation. Not everyone gets approved and we could not be happier that we are one of the lucky ones.
This consultion includes the following:
75 minute initial video call
6 week after care support
Two 20 minute check-ins with Jackson
Call between Jackson and Tippyâs vet
Curated care package of Jackson products
Pre-consult video walk-through of our cat lounge and ability to send additional videos and photos and vet records
In conclusion with the consultation we will be able to:
Have a better understanding of why Tippy sprays
Learn why the problem exists
Learn how to best approach the problem for Tippy
Learn how to best resolve Tippyâs spraying
Utilize a toolbox full of tools to build a better, fuller relationship with Tippy and any other kitty who comes through our doors who sprays.
Because we want to be here forever and know Tippy will not be the only kitty that comes through our doors with a spraying issue.

We have been approved for this consultation for over a month and the thing stopping us is the fee.

Tippy and Toddy are two sweet, senior boys who are looking for a home together. They are both playful and social boys who love being around people. If you stop petting them, they will put their little paw on you to ask for more.
Toddy gets zoomies in the morning and throughout the day. He likes to be held and generally just be around his family. He also loves being brushed, which is great, because he has a long luxurious coat that needs regular brushing!
Tippy is a loving boy who is very loyal to his person and will even get a touch jealous and bop Toddy if he walks between Tippy and whoever is petting him. He is a funny boy with a big personality. He does not enjoy being picked up like Toddy does, but he still loves lots of scritches and attention.
These boys are almost 13 years old and would love to find their forever home to spend their golden years together. Tippy has been known to spray/urinate outside of the litterbox, which we know is not his best attribute. Toddy has done this as well, but itâs become less and less frequent to a point that itâs rare to see him doing it now. Adopters should know these boys also have heart murmurs. Tippy and Toddy are looking for a very special home who will take them in and give them the love they deserve. They have been in the shelterâs care for almost 6 months now, making them the longest stay residents. Luckily these boys have been staying at Yay For Strays Cat Cafe , so have been getting lots of love and attention daily, but they would love to find their forever home. Think it could be you? We have lots of adorable buns who have been waiting quite a long time for their forever home, including this adorable bonded pair - Crunch and Munch!
Crunch is a 3-year-old Flemish Giant/Common male rabbit who is gentle and mellow. Munch is a 3-year-old New Zealand female rabbit who has an independent streak, but still loves a nice cuddle session. These two are best buddies, and are looking for a home together. Since they've been looking for their forever home for a long time now, Crunch and Munch are Overlooked Pets, so their adoption fee is up to you!
