With the recent parvovirus outbreak in Downtown Windsor we wanted to assure all of our clients that Parvovirus is one of our "core" vaccines here. If your dog has been vaccinated within the past year s/he is up to date for the parvovirus vaccination. If your dog is unvaccinated please avoid going for walks, especially where other dogs congregate such as dog parks.

Parvovirus is a highly contagious infection of the GI tract. It causes diarrhea (often bloody), vomiting, anorexia and lethargy. It generally affects puppies and unvaccinated dogs. If you suspect your dog has parvovirus immediate veterinary attention should be sought.
