⚠️ Attention Dog Owners: Parvovirus Outbreak Alert ⚠️

We want to inform everyone that there is currently an outbreak of canine parvovirus in our area. This highly contagious virus poses a serious risk to dogs, especially puppies and unvaccinated dogs.

Symptoms to Watch For:
-Vomiting
-Severe diarrhea (often bloody)
-Lethargy
-Loss of appetite
-Fever or low body temperature

Puppies are particularly vulnerable because their immune systems are not fully developed. Please note that even if your dog is vaccinated, full immunity against the virus does not develop until 15-20 days after vaccination.

How You Can Help Protect Your Dog:

1. Vaccinate your dog. Ensure they receive all recommended doses, especially if they are puppies.
2. Avoid high-risk areas. Keep your dog away from places where unvaccinated or unknown-status dogs may gather, such as dog parks or shared yards.
3. Watch for symptoms. If your dog shows any signs of parvovirus, contact your veterinarian immediately. Early treatment is critical.
