Good morning! It's the last Super Trooper Tuesday of 2024! Can you believe how fast this year went by!

Our Troop sure filled up quickly this year, and we currently still have 10 active Super Troopers going into 2025. Ethan, Cactus, Cookie, Kelvin and Camryn have all found their fur-ever homes and will shortly join the alumni table! So the holidays came early for them! Teena had her dental surgery on the 11th and is currently at home healing with her foster family.

We only have $9410.14 worth of vet bills to pay off for the 2024 season! That's it! I know it still seems like a lot but when we started with $55k I don't think any of us thought we'd get here so quickly. A wonderful thank you to all our lovely donors and our community who helped spread the word!

Hello, I'm Amicia (or Cici). Am I not the sweetest little thing you've ever seen? Let me tell you, my personality is ever better than my stunning looks. I'm the perfect mix of confident and easy-going. Nothing scares me and I'm ready to take on the world. I love people, even kids are awesome to me. I love to play, but I also love to cuddle. Let me curl up with you while you stroke my silky long fur, anywhere at all works. I'm not picky like a lot of cats. Basically, I'm just happy to be around you and part of your world. I can be really vocal when I'm comfortable and will chat with you in my adorable, girlie voice. I'm well-behaved (but still learning that places like counters are not for jumping on... I told you I'm adventurous, right?). I use my litter box and scratch-boxes without issue. I have zero issues with the dog in my foster home, in fact he likes to lick my head and I couldn't care less. There's also two other cats in my foster home and I love them too. I just love everyone.

A little on my backstory, I came into care as a newborn kitten along with my brother. Just the two of us. We've been thick as thieves since then and we'd really, really like to be kept together if you can find it in your heart. Honestly, you'll be happy you did. Two cats is WAY better than one! Hugo and I are inseparable. We play together, we sleep together, we're just the best of friends.

Oh hi there! I'm Hugo (aka Hug-o, Hugs, Hugsy) and I'm one of the bestest kittens you'll ever meet! Why, you ask? Well, first off, I love people. Like, love, love people. Big people, little people, tiny people, they're all fantastic. Especially if they have a lap for me to sit on. I am a proud lap cat and will snuggle up and sleep on your lap most of the day if you let me. Why else? Besides my striking good looks, my personality is top notch. Have you seen those instagram and tiktok famous tabby cats? Aspirations, I tell you. I like to chat, purr, and when I get playful I'm a ton of fun. I'm well behaved (for the most part... let's not talk about the Christmas tree), use my litterbox and scratch-box and I get along fabulously with the other cats and the dog in my foster home.

Hi. I’m Tanuki.
I’m an active, fun girl who loves to play with toys, dig in the dirt and hide under things especially the couch. My foster mom says I won't be able to do that much longer because I am growing. I also like to bark when I want to eat or get excited so an
apartment might not be a good place for me.

I am working on housetraining and doing quite well but I’m still young.

I sleep in a crate at night but once I’m awake, get me out! I still need to work on being in my crate when my foster parents go out, right now I just bark and howl, so I still need crate training. I love to sleep at your feet or under the coffee table when I have a nap.

✅ I am great with other dogs! I love to play with my canine foster sister and we like to wrestle!

I am good with kids but have had limited visits with them.

I bark at my cat foster sister until she hides, but I might get along with other cats with a slow introduction (Mom says she is a grumpy cat)!

I think I will love going for walks because I love to explore but I need more vaccines first. I have practiced in the yard and don't mind the leash.

I am a happy active girl who would love to make you laugh.

BIG UPDATE: My foster family is taking me to a training class with 896 dog training! I’m so smart!

Noodle

Hi. I'm Noodle, or Monsieur Le Noodles, Noodle Knife-Hands or just Noodle-man.

I am what my foster mom calls “a standard issue” tabby boy who is sometimes sweet and sometimes spicy (I am a kitten after all). I am goofy and cuddly and only have zoomies a few times a day. I use a scratching post, steal my foster brothers’ beds and am litter trained using pine pellets.

I am good with other cats, haven’t met dogs because foster mom’s dogs don’t really like cats (and I happen to be a cat, but that’s their loss). Foster mom is convinced that I would get along fine with CIVILIZED dogs, and she’s a good judge of character. I love to play, steal toys, and dinner time rocks. I had a rough start in life and am really enjoying this whole “house cat” vibe.

I am a sweet, silly kitty who would steal your heart and be your BFF. I may be a “standard issue tabby” but my heart is one-in-a million. Will you bring me home and let me be part of your family?

Hello! My name is Otho and I am a super cuddly kitten. I am brave when I need to be, but still run back to my foster mom when I’m scared. I’m not very scared of the dog that lives here, or the cats, so I think I would be fine in a home with other animals once I got used to them.

My fur is very soft and my eyes are a lovely light copper.

Of course, I am litter trained and have no behavioural issues because I’m a sweet kitten!

My main claim to fame is how cuddly I am. I just love being held and cuddled! So if you have a spare lap and lots of time for cuddles, I’ll be your perfect kitten.

Good morning Mutts! Lovely Hillary here was our latest addition to the Troop after her spay incision reopened. She's been all patched up and is being well taken care of by our vet friends and her foster family. Now she needs YOUR help!

As we get closer to the end of the year we still have a fairly high vet bill for our Troop. Hillary will require about $1200 for theirs.
So far our amazing community has raised $500 for Hillary!

Meet Hillary our newest SuperTrooper!
This little gal was recently spayed and re-opened her spay incision.
Hillary was seen by an awesome vet team late one night to repair the incision, have a drain placed and prescribed antibiotics.

It’s the season fur everyone 🐾
The Silver Heights Veterinary Hospital will be collecting donations for
Manitoba Mutts during the month of December for their annual holiday pet
drive.
Donations can be dropped off during their office hours.

That’s a wrap on our annual Christmas Fair!!

Thanks to all our volunteers for their help in making the day go smoothly, to all the crafters and bakers for donating their time and wares for us to raise money.
