Birdbaths are very busy right now! All the birds are enjoying the water for drinking and preening to keep their feathers in optimal condition for migration or the upcoming season. Even though I have been birding for many many years. I still can’t believe how excited I get with special sightings. This morning was one of those. I went out to fill all my feeders that were ravaged by raccoons in the night and while I was out there, a flock of Eastern bluebirds arrived. I quickly set up a makeshift additional birdbath in my yard as I know they love water. They rewarded me very quickly and I am just so happy. I love nature! Fall finches 💛I have been inundated with grackles lately which really took over and chased all the other birds away. Today’s the first day without them and I came home to see some sweet goldfinches, chickadees, House finches, and other favourites!
