Bella is one of the cute product testers of Pet Valu Osborne. Her mom gets to see the brand new toys coming into the store and often spoils the trio orange kitties with something from the new line.

Bella has been loving the brand new Jump extendable feather wand. She will make her mom play with her for so long.

Fun fact if your kitty ruins the feather it comes with, we sell a pack of three replacements!

It’s our store dog Jade’s birthday!! She turned 7 years young. She will be celebrating by hanging out at the store today and tomorrow until 430pm, if anyone would like to come by and give her some birthday scratches.

If your pup is celebrating a birthday we have many great ways to celebrate the festivities. Toys, tasty treats, and the adorable party attire. (Don’t worry we also have stuff for our feline friends as well!)

Introducing our new in store adoptable Eve! She’s estimated to be around 3-4 years of age and is fully vaccinated and spayed. Eve is super affectionate, she follows everyone around the store and will even join you in the bathroom. Eve’s second favourite thing is catnip. She’s always playing with her catnip toys or taking more off the shelf.

The bugs are starting to come out, most of our bug sprays are toxic to our pets. We are now stocking a safe alternative, Charlie Bug Spray. It is safe for dogs, cats and us humans! We are so excited to announce that the final number is out from our June Pet Appreciation Month. With everyone’s help we raised $21,275 for Spirit of Hope Rescue.

We are so grateful and thankful for all our clients that donated money towards the rescue, our vendors that donated products for our silent auction, our rescue volunteers that worked tirelessly during our events and of course our hardworking staff that aided in us raising so much money for the dogs and cats of SOHR.

Happy National Kitten Day! For our store manager, everyday lately is Kitten Day. While she is helping to raise these two (unrelated) orphaned babies into big happy kittens that will be adopted out later on.

Use today to spoil those kittens just a little extra and recognize the hard work our local rescues do for the stray & orphaned kitten population.

Thank you Spirit of Hope Rescue for bringing these two cuties in for an adoption day. Zoey (Different colour eyes) is a sweet girl who happily flops over for belly rubs. Scotch, is a typical happy pup who is super food motivated. Makes for easy training. Both of these dogs are looking for their forever homes.

Wednesday, June 28th all of our nail trim funds will be added into Pet Appreciation Month supporting Spirit of Hope Rescue.

For a minimum $15 donation, our professional groomer will cut/dremel your cat, dog or small animals nails!

Today was such a huge success for collecting donations for Spirit of Hope Rescue. A huge thank you to all those that came to support the event. Also a big thank you to Isa Pacheco Photography for taking great photos of your pets today, all those proceeds supported the rescue as well. Meet Jet, our in store adoptable kitten. He is around 3 months old and is one of two kittens of the 5 from the litter that haven’t found a home. He has s***k and is super goofy. You’ll catch him zooming around the store with his monster head toy in his mouth. Or passed out upside down or with his head on his water bowl.

Buy a Paw, Save a Pet!

That’s the motto for this month as we strive to raise $20,000 for Spirit of Hope Rescue! Donate towards SOHR and fill out a paw! 100% of donations are given to SOHR, we will be collecting until July 2nd. Last year with everyone’s generosity we raised $19,000 and we hope to beat it so more Manitoba strays receive a better life.

In store you’ll notice a few incentives for donations including our huge raffle (includes 19 small baskets and 4 grand prizes), our GC draw and our items up for sale for a set donation (like the great clothing our staff are modelling).

For a donation of $15 or more you can bring your pet by anytime between 11-2 and she will capture a beautiful image for you. For a little fun the theme of these photos will be Canada Day. Join us June 24th for these photos and support a great cause. 100% of proceeds support a local manitoba rescue, Spirit of Hope Rescue.

Calling all dirty dogs!

This Saturday 11-3 we will have volunteers from Spirit of Hope Rescue at the store ready to wash your dog for a donation of $20!

It’s super easy, you don’t have to do anything but show up and donate! We supply the shampoo and towels, and the volunteers will do the washing.
(Please note there will be dogs in the store and possibly in the washing bay at the same time so dogs must be comfortable around other dogs)

This adorable golden is named 💫Comet. Her and her sisters were rescued from a tough situation thanks to the help of K9 Advocates Manitoba. We were so happy to meet her and get to love on her.
