Our Story
We have been established since 1976 – we were the very first to form a totally ambassador volunteer street citizens patrol in Canada and the USA. We work closely with By Law Enforcement, seniors, students, veterans, youth, churches and Winnipeg 311. We patrol parks on bikes, pick up litter, rescue pets, assist tourists, fix flat tires, report hazards, es**rt seniors and students, give talks in schools, remove graffiti, plus so much more and we are trying to form a national support network to share experiences and stories. We bring hope, prayer and peace along with street ministry as lay people. Join our national group called URBAN SCOPE, STREET CITIZENS ON PATROL EVERYWHERE! We partnered with the Home Depot to give youth and veterans a 2nd chance by providing free trade skills workshops! This is a 1st for Manitoba. We find homeless veterans! We started before the Guardian Angels and Bear Clan Patrol in Canada and in the USA. Their group started in 1979 and in the 1990’s (Bear Clan). Even though our Metis aboriginal founder was born and raised with disabilities such as mild FASE, ADD and PTSD (Military Service) that didn't stop him from joining and later volunteering most of his life.
Thank you.
