Extending a warm welcome to Winni! 🐶

Winni was in to see Dr. Kahlon for her rabies and distemper-parvo vaccines — and yes, she got all the treats for being such a good girl. 💉

Parvo is a virus we take seriously — it spreads easily between dogs and can make them very sick, especially at the puppy stage. Signs to watch for include vomiting, diarrhea (sometimes with blood), loss of appetite, and lethargy. If you notice any of these, give us a call right away.

Thankfully, vaccines like the one Winni got today are extremely effective at keeping dogs safe. Keeping up with routine shots is one of the best ways to protect your pup (and others, too!).

Today, we shine the spotlight on our amazing Practice Manager and rockstar RVT, Gina! Gina graduated from Red River College in 2009 as a Registered Veterinary Technologist, and she’s been providing exceptional care to animals ever since.

We’re beyond lucky to have Gina leading our pack, as she brings not only a wealth of experience but also a deep commitment to kindness, teamwork, and patient care (and makes it look easy). 🐶🐱🐾

With the spooky holiday coming up, keep your furry friends safe and stress-free this spooky season with these quick tips from Fred 🐾🎃

No Candy for Pets! 🍬: Chocolate, xylitol (found in sugar-free treats), and raisins are toxic to pets. Keep the candy bowl out of reach!

Watch the Decorations 🕯️: Curious paws and wagging tails can knock over candles or get tangled in string lights and fake cobwebs.

Costume Comfort 👻: Only dress up your pet if they’re comfortable. Costumes should fit properly, allow free movement, and avoid choking hazards.

Door Dashers Beware 🚪: Trick-or-treaters = lots of door opening. Keep pets secure indoors to prevent escapes, especially if they’re anxious with strangers.

ID & Microchips 🏷️: Just in case your pet slips out, make sure their ID tags and microchip info are up to date.

To keep your pup happy & healthy, we recommend:
✔️ 8 weeks – First round of Distemper/Parvo vaccine
✔️ 12 weeks – Second round
✔️ 16 weeks – Final round of Distemper/Parvo and Rabies vaccines
🦴 Optional: Bordetella and Lyme (depending on lifestyle)
