🎄🐾 Holiday Fundraiser for Manitoba Mutts! 🐾🎄
(Yes—they rescue cats too! 😺🐶)

This December, our clinic is excited to once again support Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue by collecting funds and much-needed supplies to help animals in their care. If you’d like to spread some holiday cheer to dog and cats in need, please consider a monetary donation or gifting an item from their wish list:

🎁 Dog/Puppy food
🎁 Cat/Kitten food
🎁 Cat litter
🎁 Treats
🎁 Crates (new or gently used)
🎁 X-pens (new or gently used)
🎁 Cleaning supplies — bleach, Lysol wipes, paper towel
🎁 Laundry soap
🎁 Puppy pads
🎁 Tough-chewer toys — Kongs, Nylabones, etc.

Each donation will include a chance to WIN a complimentary wellness exam (donated by Dr. Perrault). Every donation—big or small—helps give rescue pets a brighter start to the new year. 🐾

This tiny space explorer stopped by our clinic for his vaccines, and let’s just say… he obliterated our hearts on impact! ❤️🐾

With a name like Asteroid Destroyer, you might expect chaos — but this little guy brought nothing but purrs, cuddles, and universal charm. 🌌🐱

Puff's on the mend! 💛

Sweet Puff came in after her family noticed she was asking to go outside more often and seemed a bit uncomfortable when urinating. A quick urinalysis confirmed a urinary tract infection (UTI).

With antibiotics and some pain relief, Puff is now doing SO well — her family says she’s back to her happy, playful self!

If you notice your dog straining to urinate, having accidents, or needing to go more frequently, it could be a sign of a UTI. Early testing and treatment help pets feel better fast.

🐾 Meet Georgie ❤️‍🩹

Georgie came to us with a broken leg after a rough tumble. Despite being in pain, Georgie was very courageous and oh so sweet!

Our veterinary team quickly diagnosed the fracture and got to work, making sure Georgie was comfortable, safe, and on the road to recovery. With expert care, a custom cast, and lots of gentle snuggles, this little trooper is now healing beautifully.

He’s already back to stealing hearts — and the occasional treat!

We’re so proud of Georgie and honoured to be part of his journey. 💙

Extending a warm welcome to Winni! 🐶

Winni was in to see Dr. Kahlon for her rabies and distemper-parvo vaccines — and yes, she got all the treats for being such a good girl. 💉

Parvo is a virus we take seriously — it spreads easily between dogs and can make them very sick, especially at the puppy stage. Signs to watch for include vomiting, diarrhea (sometimes with blood), loss of appetite, and lethargy. If you notice any of these, give us a call right away.

Thankfully, vaccines like the one Winni got today are extremely effective at keeping dogs safe. Keeping up with routine shots is one of the best ways to protect your pup (and others, too!).

Today, we shine the spotlight on our amazing Practice Manager and rockstar RVT, Gina! Gina graduated from Red River College in 2009 as a Registered Veterinary Technologist, and she’s been providing exceptional care to animals ever since.

We’re beyond lucky to have Gina leading our pack, as she brings not only a wealth of experience but also a deep commitment to kindness, teamwork, and patient care (and makes it look easy). 🐶🐱🐾
