“We lost our orange Chuck It ball at the dog park today as we were leaving. We had our golden retriever and our golden doodle playing in the puddles and having a blast with their ball. They had it as we started walking towards the West side parking lot, but didn’t notice if they dropped it close to the entrance or in the actual parking lot. Please let me know if someone turns it in or if we can put up a LOST Ad on the FB page.”

👀 Does your dog wanna be a movie star? 🤩

Canada wide casting for TV series.

Looking for a very high drive smooth coat 40-60lbs dog that will confidently jump off either a competition dock or lake dock and is a strong swimmer.

Dog will need to be available sometime between June-Oct in Winnipeg, MB Canada to film. Bonus if the dog has set experience, good with horses and other livestock, good with kids and available for the whole show.

SCAMMER ALERT!! We had a lost dog posted today and got 3 scam posts on it!! I have deleted the scam comments and links, but here is the screenshot of them. SAFEPAWS RECOVERY, LOST PET INVESTIGATORS, and PET RECOVERY CENTER are not Winnipeg based and probably scammers. If you shared the lost dog post, please also share this one to let people know.

WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW!

Winnipeg Lost Dog Alert (WLDA) was formed to help dog owners in Winnipeg and the surrounding areas get their dogs home safely. Each year we help hundreds of dogs get safely home.
Without Admins we cannot do this vital work to help YOU get your dog’s home safely. We are always short of Admins, so we are again asking for help. Becoming a WLDA Admin is different from any other Page or Group Admin that I have had experience with. Most Pages need minimal input from Admins. However, we put a lot of work into helping you get your dogs safely home.
Other pages let you post on their page; they rely on you to make sure all the info needed is there (how often are there posts that don’t have pictures or even the location of where the dog went missing?). The other pages rely on YOU watching for comments, sightings etc.
Not only does WLDA do the posts for you, which makes sure we have ALL the information needed when people are watching for your dog, we also watch for comments and messages. We relay important information as soon as we can. We offer advice based on our many years of experience.
If this page has helped YOUR dog get home, would you consider ‘paying it forward’ by volunteering some of your time to help cover our page? Help us to help you. Volunteer with us. The more Admins we have available to cover the page, the less time each one needs to do.
