I made butter! Yummy!

Thankful to still be eating our own squash. One of our faves is so simple: slice a spaghetti squash in half, seed it, and bake it upside down in a pan with a little water until you can easily pierce it with a fork. Scrape out the squash with a fork and mix with an ample amount of butter, parmesan, parsley, salt and pepper. Return to the oven for a few minutes so the butter and cheese is all melted and gooey. Serve hot. Yum!

What vegetable do you miss most in the winter?? There are lots I can't wait for, but I have to say locally grown lettuce is one I start dreaming about at this time of year. I can't stand the taste of grocery store lettuce so I wait for ours, but I'm missing my salads! How about you?

As we say farewell to 2023, we want to say "thanks!" to everyone who supported our market garden farm this year, and for so many of you, for many years now. We're looking forward to bringing you more good food grown well in 2024. Wishing you all the best in this next circle around the sun, and Happy New Year's! 🌾🌿🌻

After 14 years, we said goodbye to this beautiful one yesterday. Gryphon was the best of dogs, perfectly suited to our family, and we loved him unconditionally. We will always remember him like this, full of life and bounce and vigor. He lived the best farm-dog life, with lots of days seeking out deer in the forest and chasing rabbits and stealing the cats food. He loved us as much as we loved him, and was our constant companion through all these years, and we will miss him with all our hearts.
