A not-for-profit, no-kill animal rescue for Siamese crossed cats in Manitoba. Rescue Siamese is a "no kill" rescue. Friday: 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Rescue is a non-profit, feline rescue that operates as a shelter with a strong foster program component, whereby animals are taken into foster homes, vetted and assessed for temperament and later put up for adoption at our shelter. Siamese crossed cats are accepted directly from owners, as strays or as transfers from another shelter or organization. Rescue Siamese is set up to give preference to t

he Siamese and Oriental breeds, and will also take in the domestic partners of "bonded" pairs. Oriental breeds may include Oriental Short Hair, Himalayan, Exotic Short Hair, Snowshoe, Birman, Balinese -most cats that have blue eyes and colour points. Hours of Operation:

These two sweet kitties were left on the Rescue’s doorstep on Halloween night in a cardboard box. Since coming into care they have been fixed, vetted, and are ready for adoption!

Scheifs is a goofy boy who loves nap time, meal time, and play time! He’s a great cuddler and is oh so handsome! He’s got a laid-back nature who is inquisitive and loves to supervise anything you might be doing.

Appleton is a little quieter and more reserved, she watches from a distance but also loves cuddling and is a PURR monster! She loves toys and anything on a string. She is a sweet but mischievous girl who is quick to explore any bag put on the floor or any new items that she hasn’t seen before.

They are quite bonded right now and we are hoping they can be adopted together. They are doing amazing in their foster home with another cat and may be able to be split, if going to a home with another cat friend.

Do you remember the kittens that were being sold out of a duffel bag in a parking lot (but luckily got to us instead)? They thought it would be fun to do a Holiday Photo shoot to show how well they are thriving in their loving foster home. They are getting into the Holiday Spirit with our Annual Christmas Party coming up this weekend. These kittens are not yet available for adoption, and we will not be taking applications on them yet.

Happy Tails Billie!

This beautiful girl didn’t get a chance to be posted for adoption. Here is a lovely write up from her mom who was a foster fail.

Billie Blue Eyes. Itty Bitty Billie. She’s got incredible blue eyes and a stumpy little tail that she wags with great charm! Billie has a tiny squeaky voice, a surprisingly loud scream when she needs it, and no purr at all (Ever. So far, at least!) She came to me February 4th as my foster from her wonderful temporary fosters--2 days after my 17 year old cat Boots died. Boots was with me 13 years. But when the call out for a foster for Billie came (she needed a foster right away came) I said pick me! She came complete with a case of high calorie food to help her gain weight, some toys she didn’t play with, and lots of hopes and fears in her little head. She hates to be picked up and is vocal in her protest; but she sits in my lap and sometimes sleeps beside me.
Billie was shy and skittish at the very beginning. But it was just a short time before we were quite bonded. I knew I wanted to adopt her right away! It took longer for the adoption to be final as she had some medical issues that Rescue Siamese was resolving first, but I was determined that she had found her home and would officially be mine. There was never a doubt in my mind!

It took longer for Billie to become friendly and relaxed with family and friends. But she has. It took even longer for her to become accustomed to the senior cat, Merida,that came to live with us.

Billie has my heart firmly in her grip. She is a fussy eater who likes variety, people food, and small amounts from freshly opened cans! Billie loves poached chicken breast, tuna, and formerly Churu.

Billie has found a loving forever home that cherishes and adores her. She is now living her best life in a home full of love.

Coco is a busy playful cat. She was originally purchased from a backyard breeder, and when she became ill with an upper respiratory virus, her owner abandoned her at a vet clinic. She may be a chronic carrier of an upper respiratory virus as it appears her infection was allowed to go untreated too long. However, she has been fostered in a multicat, vaccinated home and hasn’t passed on anything to the other cats. She no longer displays any respiratory virus symptoms but likely has permanent scar tissue in her nose from the infection, which makes her sound like she’s slightly obstructed breathing through her nose. This doesn’t slow her down!

With regular annual veterinary care and grooming, she should do just fine and have a long life. Coco is a confident cat who is unfazed by other cats or dogs, even if they are interested in playing with her. She is very smart and could be leash trained. Despite her “busy” nature she is also affectionate with people.

True to her breeding, she is very tactile and uses her paws to try and open doors or receive her food. Coco currently gets regular lysine chews, which helps to boost her immune system, along with a good quality diet. Coco should go to a home with an experienced cat owner.

Outside of the city, Slate was found living in a woodpile with his mom and siblings. A kind person took them in and got them to rescue. Like all young and energetic kittens, Slate loves to play with his siblings and all kinds of toys.

This little guy is just a little more cautious than his siblings. Slate is an easy-going little guy who loves to cuddle up with his siblings, but also enjoys time on his own. He would do best in a quieter home. He has not met dogs or kids yet. Slate would do well in a home with another friendly young cat.

Outside of the city, Sterling was found living in a woodpile with her mom and siblings. A kind person took them in and got them to rescue. Like all energetic and playful kittens, Sterling loves to play with her siblings and enjoys playing with toys. She is a quiet little explorer, and is the bravest kitten in the litter. You will often find her watching the shenanigans of her siblings before joining in. This gal is a sucker for chin scratches!

She has not met kids or dogs yet. She would enjoy a home with another cat to play with or a home that could give her lots of attention.

Beautiful Smartie is looking for a long term foster placement. She has recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and needs medication twice a day. She is also on prescription food.
