Pookie came to us in October after his previous owner was no longer able to care for him. Since then, he’s captured everyone’s hearts with his sweet, playful, and affectionate personality. The volunteers lovingly call him our little “purr monster,” because once he starts, he doesn’t stop! While Pookie isn’t a big fan of being held, he absolutely adores gentle pets and head scratches. He enjoys spending time with the other cats and would be happiest in a home with a feline friend to play and cuddle with.

Pookie is also quite the talker—he’s a chatty boy who loves to “converse” with the volunteers. He’ll greet you with soft meows and carry on little conversations, making sure you always know what’s on his mind. He loves chasing toys, lounging in sunny spots, and following his favorite people around for attention. With his soft fur and bright, expressive eyes, he’s as handsome as he is loving. Pookie would thrive in a calm, caring home where he can feel safe, loved, and listened to.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with purrs, playfulness, and plenty of chatter, Pookie might just be your perfect match.

A Huge Thank You to Pet Valu Sage Meadowood, Pet Valu Sage Creek, and Pet Valu Taylor!

These phenomenal donations — plus over 60 bags of litter — were generously given to Rescue Siamese.

Pet Valu raised these donations during their October Companions for Change campaign, where Rescue Siamese was chosen as the cat rescue to receive all cat-related
contributions.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported our Annual Holiday Event yesterday!
Thanks to your generosity and support, just over $7,000 was raised to help the cats in our care.

It’s almost here!! 😻

We hope to see you tomorrow, Sunday November 9th at Archwood Community Centre (565 Guilbault St) from 10:30am-3:30pm for our Annual Holiday Party! 🎄

We have a very exciting day planned with over 20 local vendors, a huge bake sale, silent auction prizes, 50/50 draw, hot chocolate bar (we have vegan options!) and more. Bring a wet or dry cat food or litter donation and help stock up the cats’ supply closet!

Our volunteers have been working hard to make this event special, and we can’t wait to spend the day with you all! ❤️

There’s just 3 days left until our Annual Holiday Party on Sunday November 9th, and we are still in need of lots of baking donations for our bake sale! Last year our fundraising bake sale was hugely successful and sold out early in the event, and we’d love to have even more delicious treats available this year! As always, 100% of the money raised helps the Rescue Siamese cats on their journey to finding forever families 😻❤️

We super appreciate all donations of sweet and savoury baked treats, homemade candy or snack mixes, mixed holiday baking trays, loaves, cupcakes, cookies, etc! Baking can be dropped off at our shelter (38 Barberry Road) tonight from 6-9pm, Friday from 12-3pm, or Saturday between 10am-4pm. You can also bring baking straight to the event when we open up at Archwood Community Centre (565 Guilbault St.) The event runs from 10:30am-3:30pm this Sunday November 9th, and we hope to see you all there!
