BREAKING: K9 Kobe is SHOT & SAVED wearing his K9 Storm Aerial Insertion Vest!!

K9 Kobe is rushed to the vet after sustaining a gunshot wound to his front paws.

He has no bruising, no broken bones, and after a thorough x-ray it is determined that no other bullets thankfully struck him during the intense firefight.

When his Aerial Insertion Vest is sent back to us for repairs, we notice a small opening in a seam of the vest that looks suspicious...

Did Kobe take a second round to the body?

Sure; nothing looks better than a brand new ID Collar fresh out the box.

But from time to time, we get items back for minor repairs that look like they’ve been through the absolute wringer.

This ID Collar is roughly +10 years old. The Velcro loop for the patch was hanging on for dear life, so we stitched it back up, and it’s now ready to go for the next +10 years.

The “reflective” patch says POLICE. Much respect to the | this is how a piece of gear should look when your K9 unit is putting in WORK. 🐺👊💥

Some cool K9 Storm History. Swipe ➡️ for more photos

We were cleaning up our factory and stumbled upon our historical media records that feature some oldddddddd news articles, going as far back as 1995!

1st photo: 1995 - This is of Jim’s Police Dog, Olaf. Jim & Olaf were tasked with finding a murder suspect when this photo was snapped, and even got in trouble with the brass for Olaf looking “too menacing”, even though Jim had nothing to do with the photo! In truth though, Olaf was one bamf. He was passive when he needed to be, but man did that dog like to fight. His bark was the inspiration of our logo, and we know that everybody who has K9 Storm Gear still embodies his fighting spirit. Looking back, it’s still an honour to see working dogs with this small reminder of Olaf’s memory absolutely crushing evil.

Photo 2: 1999 - This is one of the first photos of Olaf working in his K9 Storm Vest. Even back then, he had underbelly impalement protection which ultimately saved his life one night when Olaf jumped over a fence and landed square on a rebar stake with tomato vines wrapped around it.

3rd Photo: 2003 - This is a photo of Glori (with Olaf on the Globe) taken for the “Women’s Entrepreneur of the Year” awards. Many of you might not know this, but K9 Storm is actually a Women Owned business, with Glori being the driving force for its success. Something inspirational about Glori is that she has never tried to pretend to be “military”. She has always led with humility and helped customers from her distinctly compassionate heart. Don’t mistake kindness for weakness though; she’s definitely tough as nails…it just so happens that she prefers hers to be painted. 💅

Always amazing for us to see working dogs like Bosco put on their new Patrol Swat Vests for the first time.

Always amazing for us to see working dogs like Bosco put on their new Patrol Swat Vests for the first time.

Bosco was recently selected as a recipient of a custom fix ballistic vest through Spike’s K9 Fund. Spike’s K9 Fund is a veteran founded and operated national nonprofit organization that supplies custom fix ballistic vests, training, and provides assistance with care costs for police, military, and SAR K9’s. In addition, they offer support for these K9’s after they retire.

Congratulations Bosco and his handler, Deputy Tanner Hunt.

Our friend Erlend needs our help. Thoughts, prayers, shares, and anything you can spare are all appreciated. Please read below 🙏⬇️

Repost • Erlend Gray is a 42-year-old father of two, special operations veteran, Antarctic explorer, and eternal optimist. In February 2023, his doctors gave him 12 months to live as the available treatments in Norway were no longer stopping the spread of his malignant

With a lifetime of experience overcoming challenges in ominous situations, Erlend did what comes naturally—he kept going. His Norwegian medical team told him the FDA recently approved a new treatment in the United States, and it is his last hope for overcoming cancer. Erlend and a close team of family and former teammates are working to get him access to this lifesaving treatment in the U.S.

Tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy is a new cellular immunotherapy offered only at a few U.S. hospitals, one being in Boston. Like many new medical treatments, the groundbreaking treatment is cost-prohibitive. Out-of-pocket expenses are estimated to exceed $500,000 for the drug Lifileucel and his care at DFCI. For Erlend and his family, time is of the essence.

As a father of a 1- and 3-year-old, Erlend is a family man and someone who enjoys life. When he learned he had 12 months to live, the Operator from Norway’s MJK and the South Pole explorer aimed to turn a hopeless situation into something solvable. Together, we can help Erlend recover from cancer so he can continue living and caring for his family.

In partnership with , 100% of these contributions will go to Erlend via the HunterSeven Foundation (501c3). And 100% of your donation is tax-deductible. Any proceeds that exceed Erlend’s medical expenses will stay with HunterSeven as the Foundation continues to advocate for veterans and the cancer epidemic impacting the community.

🇺🇸🇳🇴 Erlend, we are always beside you!

I just wanted to take a brief moment to honor the life of Service K9 Snoopy. Snoopy was paired up with Shirley Jew, a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran of over 33 years. Shirley has always been extremely outspoken in her support towards everything K9 Storm - without question, Snoopy holds the unofficial record for most K9 Storm Gear owned by one dog! More importantly, their work through has helped to pair countless vets with trained Service Dogs in Canada, changing lives in the process. Thank you Snoopy, you were a major asset and will always be remembered here at K9 Storm. Our thoughts and prayers are with Shirley during this difficult time. 🐺🙏

A special thank you to The Rusty Tank Animal Aid, and Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog for the love and support for Officer Civetti and his K-9 partner Officer Zane. The 2023 Rusty Tank Calendar fundraiser proceeds helped to provide Zane's protective vest, and he will be all that much safer now when out working.

Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog provided grants to supply K-9 Zane with a bullet and stab protective vest, as well as a training suit. Funding for the vest was generously raised and donated by A Better Companion and The Rusty Tank Animal Aid. Thank you for helping keep K-9 Zane safe!

Such an honor. Stay safe Meki & Omega 🐺🙏

We extend our deepest gratitude to an anonymous donor, whose generosity made it possible for our agency to purchase the best K9 vests available. These vests are custom fit with ultra-light ballistic panels, underbelly impalement protection, and are scientifically proven to not increase the K9’s internal body temperature. These vests are crucial for the protection of our K-9’s, ensuring their safety as they serve our community. Together, we're making a significant impact on the well-being of our dedicated four-legged members. Thank you for your selfless contribution!

Repost • Masked up. Amazing training and it was really cool to share it with our Pararescue and local communities. Jumping into the Ohio River from a HH-60 from during the Pararescue “PJ Rodeo”. It was an honor to send off SEAC Colon-Lopez into retirement. We are very appreciative of his contributions to Pararescue, the Air Force, and this blessed country! Hooyah Chief!
