Super proud of our 'girls" especially Sage who handled her first Competitve Trail Ride like a seasoned pro. Thanks to Cassandra Page for riding her and doing such a wonderful job with her refresh training the last 7 weeks. Thanks to Rhianna for taking on the challenge of doing a CTR after so much time off and to Angela Roberts for lending Rhianna her CJ in the hope that CJ could keep.up.with Sage :)

Happy Trails Ranch is happy to announce that we are expanding our product line to further support our loyal customers!! In addition to Buckeye Nutrition Equine feeds and Equine Choice Probiotics, we are stocking Beet Pulp (no molasses pellets or shreds), Smart Earth Camelina Oil (3.78L), Farnam Wipe and Roll-on, Salt (loose and blocks) and Mad Barn products! Currently we have the Visceral Plus 5kg and Performance XL Electrolyte 1kg in stock but if you want me to order another MB product let me know. We are also looking into hay replacer pellets and another equine feed line but stay tuned on that. We will only bring in quality products that can be competitively priced. If you are looking for a specific product - whether it be for horses, dogs, birds or most anything else, let me know as I may be able to bring it in for you. This is why we love Rockies...BZ is back under saddle after about a year and a half with no riding and on her second ride is already riding out her own in the open. She loves to move out and we look forward to having her get out and compete in some CTR events this year.

We are fortunate to have a few beautiful mares selected specifically for temperament, gait and bloodlines. The variety of colors is simply a bonus. The mares used for breeding are certified with RMHA. We are only breeding our mares if the foal is pre-sold so contact us if you are interested.

Smooch/Mocha/Cocoa turned 1 in April and this beautiful black filly is a farm favorite who loves people. Leads, ties and has been exposed to dogs, quads and skid steer. Video of her doing our obstacles from the Fall is posted. RM registration is pending. Current on de-worming, shots and farrier. Expected to mature around 15 hh. $4000
HTR Xena's Choco Chanel (Choco Dock Junior/Windy Rock's River Xena). Double registered RM/KM, June 2014 chocolate mare. Born and raised here and left to grow and mature before being saddle trained as a 6 yr old. Naturally gaited with trail experience. Best suited to an intermediate or above rider - she is a super smart and sensitive girl and loves to move out. Current on de-worming, shots and farrier. Loads and ties. Certification is planned for the summer and price will increase as time passes because training and hay are getting more expensive :) $12000 until end of June and then price increases with training/certification.

We are working with Mocha and taking her out of her comfort zone with Mama for a few hours every day. Yesterday I put her in the riding ring on her own...got some great action shots LOL. I thought perhaps Forrest could be a friend as they have visited over the fence quite nicely...it started out ok....

One of the first things I remember hearing about Rockies is that they are 'born broke'. They are definitely not phased by much and catching them is not usually something you have to try to hard to do ;) This is especially true of our yearling Mocha - she really loves attention.

This lovely black filly is now a yearling and she continues to show us that solid Rocky temperament by remembering last year's lessons on leading and obstacles. She loves attention and has a very curious nature - not phased by much and is super sweet.
