Meet Yuuki who belongs to our Veterinary Assistant, Sarah!

Yuuki is a 2-year-old tortoiseshell with quite the personality. Yuuki was a stray hanging around Sarah's house in Anola. Sarah fed her and once she gained trust, Sarah brought her into the hospital for a checkup. Turns out Yuuki was pregnant. She had 3 healthy kittens who have found loving homes. Yuuki is such a sweet girl but does have a bit of "Torti-tude" when things don't go her way. Her favorite things to do are eat everything, get as much attention as possible, and snooze in the sun for hours. Her full name is Asuna Yuuki but her nicknames are "Lil-Momma" and "Bean Bun".

There is a Canadian recall on a pet conditioner. This conditioner is not sold at St. Vital Veterinary Hospital, but we want our pet parents to be aware of the recall in case they have purchased this product for their pooches or grooming businesses!

The product is "FURminator deShedding Ultra Premium Dog Conditioner (1 Gallon)." If you do have one of the affected products, the recall instructs you to, "Immediately stop using the recalled product, dispose of it according to municipal waste guidelines and contact the company for a refund and more information."

Meet Tally who belongs to our Veterinary Office Assistant, Lori!

This is Tally, she is a 3-year-old Frenchton with a big personality. She enjoys running around and playing with her doggy daycare friends, chasing her human kids around the house, and taking long naps at the end of her busy days.
Tally will take any kind of treat but her most favorite kind of treats are beef liver.
Something funny about Tally is that she has a fear of laundry baskets and no one knows why!

Meet Supergirl who belongs to our Veterinarian, Dr. Williams.

Supergirl was found by some good Samaritans that witnessed the poor thing being tossed out of a moving car when she was a kitten. She was brought to St. Vital Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Williams fell in love with her and adopted her immediately. Dr. Williams's husband named Supergirl, in consideration of the fact that she knew how to fly (but she wasn't too good with the landing). Supergirl is a loving lap cat, and enjoys cuddling with the other cats in the house, especially her sister, Flower! 💥

If you notice your pet is sleeping more than usual and is not interested in doing their normal routine, it might be time to see a veterinarian. Lethargy can be a sign of many different health concerns. So it is best to have it checked sooner rather than later.

Meet Roxy who belongs to our Veterinary Assistant, Sarah!

Roxy is an 8-year-old chihuahua/min-pin cross. She was found in a ditch on the side of a highway. After the founder looked into the situation more, she discovered that Roxy came from an animal hoarding house and the living conditional were unbearable. Sarah instantly took her in and gave her a perfect home. Roxy is very shy and nervous, but she is the sweetest girl you'll ever meet.
Her favorite things to do are rest on the couch and watch tv with her owners, go for brisk walks, and take long naps in a comfy blanket. Sometimes she can be found manning our reception desk when she comes in for visits.
