Into the Blue is Winnipeg's Premium Saltwater fish store that strives to provide you with all of your saltwater aquarium needs! From beautiful corals, to healthy fish, as well as food, R.O and saltwater, equipment and anything else you may desire. Lyndon and Derrick graduated from the University of Manitoba and are applying their knowledge of marine biology to a hobby that they have loved for year

Whether you're a long-time enthusiast, or just starting up your own tank, they're sure to be able to provide you with knowledge and insight regarding your aquarium. The location opened to the public on October 5th, 2014. We welcome everyone to come take a look around and visit with us! :) The shop is child-friendly and encourage you to bring your little ones on an undersea adventure! We are very happy and excited to inform people of Winnipeg as well as everyone across Canada that there will be a new location for all of your saltwater needs and we are sure to not disappoint! We would like to thank all of those who have helped us throughout this growing process and for your support to come in the future!

Featuring the Red-White Cleaner Shrimp (Urocaridella antonbruunii) The Red-White Cleaner Shrimp is a small species of cleaner shrimp only reaching a maximum size of 1.18 inches / 30mm. In the wild their diet consists of parasites, copepods and debris from the sea floor. They can often be seen trying to attract fish by waving their claws side to side in order to feed off of any potential parasites and mucus on the fish. With their unique appearance and memorable personalities the Red-White cleaner shrimp is a fantastic addition to any nano reef tank! Fish Fact Friday! 🐠🐡💙 Featuring the Mandarin Dragonet (Synchiropus splendidus) The Mandarinfish is a small brightly coloured fish native to the Pacific Ocean from the Ryukyu Islands all the way to Australia. These fish are sexually dimorphic with males having a much more pronounced and longer dorsal fin then females do. They are also scaleless fish which means they instead produce a layer of mucus to protect themselves from diseases and parasites.
