HADES - ADOPTED

My name is Hades and I am 8 whole weeks old. I am a sweet, loving and playful Boxer x Mastiff (maybe Shepherd x Lab mystery mutt) My momma is 50lbs so I will be a larger breed when I am full grown. I have been described as the perfect puppy that everyone falls in love with when they meet me. I even get to go to work with my foster mom and it is so much fun to get love from everyone.

I get along great with other dogs and would be fine sharing my home with another friend or just being an only dog as long as I get to socialize with other dogs and make new friends. I am fine with kitties and am pretty understanding of the kitty in my foster home. I may need a reminder to leave them alone when they want their space. I am fine with kids and would not mind sharing my home with some of those as long as they are ok with me possibly chewing on their fingers since I am still in my puppy stage.

I am working hard on my house training and am doing great with it. I am also doing well with my crate stuff and my leash manners. I am pretty great and am super smart. I am well behaved for a baby but still need my new family to work hard at making me the best boy I can possibly be.

A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION!

Ontario’s pit bull ban has just changed, and while far from perfect, this could mean a step towards lifting the ban that’s been in place since 2005. The provincial government is now allowing dogs who have been taken away only because they look like pit bulls, to be returned to their owners. They will no longer be impounded while DNA tests are being conducted. The Canadian Press has reported that Ford has promised to lift the ban entirely - but there’s been no further comment or action as of yet. 🐶 -KP

CHEESE😁!

My name is Bella and I'm a 2 year old Pomeranian Mix. I was surrendered to the shelter as my previous owner could no longer care for me. I'm a social butterfly who loves everyone that I come into contact with🦋. I'm a bit of an attention-seeker and love to be shown LOTS of affection. I am sweet, smoochy and oh so cuddly🥰! Unfortunately, I have this thing called a "heart murmur" which means that the blood doesn't flow smoothly through my heart like it would in a "normal" dog💔. My heart murmur is quite high - it is rated a 4/6. For this reason I am unable to be spayed - going under any type of anesthetic would cause my heart to work harder which could be fatal to me. Whoever adopts me will have to sign a waiver stating that they are aware of my condition, and that they understand that I may not live a very long life. I know that it would be a heart wrenching decision to adopt a young dog who doesn't have the brightest future, but I promise that I will cram a lifetime of love into whatever time we have together🥺. My adoption fee will be waived, but there will still be an application process. I get along great with kids, cats and dogs, but a quiet and calm home would be most suitable for my needs as I tend to get tuckered out quicker than most dogs my age😴.

FOXIE - ADOPTED

Did you know that November is adopt a senior dog month? Well my name is Foxie and I am 13 years young. I am a very spunky, playful, cuddly 4lb Pomeranian girl who is looking for my forever family. I am in perfect health according to the doctor but I do have a cataract in my left eye. You would never know I am 13 when you see me running around barking at the rain or dancing for treats.

I am good with other dogs but really at this point I think being the only spoiled princess in my home would be the best for me. I love being held and if you could hold me all day I would be totally happy with that. I would be fine with kitties as most of them are bigger than me anyways. I would not like to live with young kids as I am very small and sometimes kids can be a bit rough. I would just like to spend my retirement years hanging out on a nice squishy dog bed and eating treatos.

I am crate trained and go in there when my foster mom has to go to work. I love to go for walks even if it is being carried around in a fun bag going to stores and meeting new people. I will have accidents while getting used to my new routine and home, keep in mind I am only little and have a tiny bladder so will need to go outside frequently. I would be fine in an apartment as long as my people are ok with my needs and will take me for walkies. I travel like a princess in the car and would be the perfect little companion for going to places like Homesense.

PIXIE - ADOPTED

Hi, uhm my name is Pixie and I am about 1.5 years old. I am a sweet but shy girl who is looking for a forever family to love me. I would kinda like just a momma though as men tend to make me nervous and hide. I bond fast and hard, after a couple of days we will be best friends. I am a Rat Terrier mix and I weigh about 20lbs. I am playful and energetic and will need a momma who will have patience to get me through the first few weeks.

I am great with other dogs and my foster mom says I should go to a home with another smaller dog like me who has some confidence to continue helping me be the best girl I can be. I am very playful with them though when I break out of my shyness so hopefully they are ok with that. I have not met any kitties while being in foster care so I am not sure how I would do with those, maybe if you are willing to put in some training I can be fine with them. I would prefer to not share my home with little kids but would be fine with older ones who will understand I can be a bit shy at first.

I am working on my house training but if it is raining out or if I just do not want to I will p*e on a p*e pad inside, my foster mom is doing lots to show me that outside is where I am supposed to do that. I am great on my leash and LOVE to go on walks and will walk as long as you want to. I am perfect in my crate and sleep in there during the times my foster mom has to work. I am pretty good in the car too so I would be a perfect little hiking friend. I do get zoomies sometimes so a nice backyard would be great for me.
