"No-Cancel" culture is ruff, especially on small businesses. Be considerate of small appt based, service industries. When you make an appt, or reservation and you forget, or decide not to show up, you are preventing that business from booking other clients in that time frame. Not only does the business not make money, but it may actually cost them if they have booked their staff according to the appt/reservation list, or if they are self employed. You may find more businesses adding no show charges for missed appointments, or require deposits for bookings.
Everyone recognizes that emergencies come up, but if you can't or decide not to show up, call the business and cancel.
