Canadian winters are becoming milder, and with this change, tick populations are thriving longer into the winter. Contrary to what many believe, ticks can remain active whenever the temperature rises above freezing, even in the heart of winter. Snow cover can actually insulate the ground and create a microenvironment where ticks can survive.

With the increasing frequency of winter thaws, ticks find more opportunities to become active and potentially come into contact with pets and people. Speak with your veterinarian to see if tick prevention measures throughout the year, not just in traditional warmer months, is right for your pet.

Although they are sold as dog chews deer, elk, and moose antlers aren't safe for dogs. They can break teeth and damage a dog's GI tract.

Scented Candles: Seasonal Smells, but Harmful to Everyone’s Health 🕯️⚠️

As appealing as scented candles are, they also produce dangerous indoor pollutants that dramatically affect the health of your entire family, including the furry members. 🤧❗

I don't recommend using air-scenting products, especially if you have pets in your home that can’t step out for a breath of clean, fresh air, if needed. ✖️

For safe, nontoxic ways to keep your home smelling fresh, read today’s free article: https://bit.ly/3sR4sbR

Yes. Dogs can tear them apart and swallow the threads, which can result in an obstruction and costly surgery.

If you live where roads and sidewalks are treated with ice-melting rock salt or other chemicals, you need to protect your dog’s paws!

You can leave a puppy alone for small amounts of time as they grow and mature, but it takes patience and training for them to learn how and be comfortable.

Often, the spay and neuter take place at a very young age for pets. However, studies have shown that this may not be the best age.

“When you see someone sitting on the floor with their dog on them in public (like in this photo), they aren't just "cuddling" their dog. The dog is actually actively performing a task called deep pressure therapy.
9 out of 10 times if you see someone like this, they are experiencing some kind of medical episode. This is not the time to ask them questions, ask/attempt to pet their dog etc. At most, ask if the handler is OK and needs anything but nothing more.
This task can help with many different medical issues but for me when Levi does this, he is helping lower my heart rate and thus helping to prevent a fainting episode!
Service dogs are so amazing. They have such big jobs which is why it's so important to never distract them.”

*Remember that even the water or a little pollen from lilies can kill or cause severe neurological & organ damage in cats. Don't have them in your house if you have cats!! If you even think your cat came in contact, call poison control & see a vet immediately.
Pine needles and water are not on this list, but can also be a danger.

When your dog races around at top speed, seemingly unprovoked and with a wild look in her eye, she hasn’t gone mad – she has a case of the “zoomies!” This is usually a sign of a happy dog, but be aware: Zoomies can also indicate that your dog is stressed.

🐾 POEM OF A DOG
I'm the one who's always waiting for you.
Your car has a special sound that I have imprinted on my senses, I can recognize it in a thousand.
Your steps have a magic bell.
Your voice is music to my ears.
If I see your joy, it makes me happy!.
Your scent is the best.
Your presence moves my senses.
Your waking up wakes me up
I contemplate you sleeping and for me you are my God, I am happy watching your sleep.
Your look is a ray of light.
Your hands upon me, hold the lightness of peace and the sublime display of infinite love.
When you leave, I feel a huge void in my heart.
I keep waiting for you again and again.
I am the one who will wait for you all your life today, tomorrow and forever:
I am your dog.

I can't take him to the beach for a walk because it annoys you and disturbs the vacation... I have no right to rent a house if I have a dog, nor can I take him on public transportation.
However, I can take it to the rubble to find you after an earthquake, in the woods after you got lost in the mountains and had no map or gps; under the snow because you took a detour forbidden off the track; in the water because despite the red flag you have entered the sea, and your life is in danger!
And finally ...
He is just a dog, but he or she will find you. And it will save you!!!
