Meet our horses #6! Cafe, otherwise known as RICHER X-PRESSO CAFEINE.

Cafe is a beautiful 9 year old Canadian horse who came to us as a boarder in February 2022. She is a big solid chunk of a horse who has been a part of the family since she arrived.

Cafe was born in Quebec and sold to Ontario as a weanling. She was trained in harness as a young horse, but has enjoyed her cushy spoiled pasture life for the last several years. Her previous owner adores her and we recently welcomed her as an official Mossy Meadow horse when life circumstances changed for her owner.

We are so happy to be able to keep her with us, and look forward to teaching her about being a saddle horse over the winter and into next season in hopes she will eventually enjoy being a trail and possible lesson horse!

She has been backed without any issues and we will put the time into getting her trained over the winter (always great to have something to do over the off season when we're missing the kiddos!).

Meet our Horses... Baby Dreamer aka "FrenchmanFancyTaFame" 😍

Dreamer is a stunning 3 year old Appendix Quarter Horse filly who is speed bred but didn't get that memo. She is the quietest old soul I have ever encountered in all my years of horses.

This baby horse came to us in April 2024 without having been started, she was a blank slate with an exceptional mind. She has been backed and started lightly this summer and has been hauled and trail ridden as well as ridden in the rings and currently going walk/jog/lope reliably. I look forward to seeing her develop under saddle and really come into herself, I think she's got a little more spice left to develop under that golden angel attitude.

Dreamer was born in Rapid City, Manitoba and then made her way to Antigonish as a yearling. She had a wonderful upbringing with a focus on natural horsemanship and connection. This filly is destined to be an all-arounder, who will be developed for lessons in the future! We can already tell she is going to be a much loved member of the Mossy Meadow team.

As the month of November comes to an end, so does our 2024 season! We've had such a wonderful time this year with our new ring, getting students acclimated to a bigger space with more advanced riders and lots of leases through the season!

I'd like to personally thank each and every client of ours for your continued support and trust in our program as we continue to grow and develop. We are very blessed with wonderful lessoners, lessors and boarders who have made this place better and better each season. We appreciate the dedication to improvement and continued learning from you all!

There is always some sadness when the program rests for the winter months, the horses and I miss every student over the cold season and look forward to seeing you again in 2025.

I will send out messages in the spring when I know our opening date to all currently active students with availability for the 2025 season.
