It's been quite some time since I've been on here or in the shop, but it's all for a good reason.
Malcolm and I welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world this spring, Miss Lila Jean O'Brien. She is by far the most beautiful work of art I have ever created.
Pregnancy took me out of the shop as I couldn't stand to be around the fumes of adhesives and dyes, and for the first trimester I was sick from the smell of leather. But we slowly hammered away at our few remaining orders and the night before I went into labor I delivered my last two sets of chaps to their owners.
This little girl is blessed to have 3 absolutely amazing, brilliant and beautiful big sisters that share our family's love of horses (she was on her pony by the time she was 36 hours old). I pray she grows up wild and free, to create beautiful things with her hands like her father and I both love to do. I pray she knows what she wants and goes after it like her sister Cassie, I pray she is known for her kindness and caring heart like her sister Sarah and I pray she always finds the time to be silly like her sister Beth. I pray she gets my wings and her daddy's roots.
We will create art for y'all again soon, I'm not sure when but we will. Until then I am going to enjoy watching my baby grow 🤍
