LSR Addarosa Rio and Tyler at the 2021 NCHA World Finals! 🖤

Rosa was Jill Rennie’s first cutting horse that she purchased from Tyler’s Uncle Neil Darroch as a 2 year old. She was green so she only showed a couple times as a 3 year old with limited success. She continued to have more success as a 4 year old. But her 5 year old year she was unstoppable! Never in a million years did we ever start out the year planning on hauling a 5 yo for the World Finals but come the Circuit Finals in September Jill told us we better get our butts south and keep going.

It’s special to us in a lot of ways especially - according to Les Jack (who knows a lot of Sask Cutting horse history!) Rosa is the first horse ever to be Saskatchewan bred, owned & trained to make the NCHA World Finals. How neat is that!

Rosa won just shy of $40,000 and now is retired to raise some babies which we are extremely excited about!

So beyond grateful for owners like Jill. Now, next week we get to see on her second cutting horse purchase, Peppys Cashin Checks (aka Carlos!) and her head into the World Finals Arena in the 15,000 Amateur.

We can’t wait!! 🦄

The hauling season is coming to an end and we couldn’t be more proud of this duo!! Jill has put in the work - spent many, many hours, not only hauling to shows, but coming for lessons and working her tail off to learn everything she can about this sport.

She always puts her horses first and always has the best perspective no matter the outcome! Jill is the type of person who easily makes friends where ever she goes, is the first to jump in to help with whatever anyone needs, cheers for absolutely everyone and we are just so darn proud to have her as a part of our DPH team!

Jill & Carlos finished off the regular show season as AZCHA ‘End of the Trail Cutting’ Circuit Champions in the 15 Am!
