Paws and Claws Animal Rescue has been rescuing animals since February 2015. Many of our rescues come in as strays from poor living conditions from places in the surrounding areas. We take the time to assess each animal both mentally and physically before putting them up for adoption. Once the animal has been rescued, we place them into a foster home that is the best fit for him/her. Without our fo

ster parents, we wouldn't be able to rescue as many animals as we do. We are extremely grateful for all the hard work and dedication our fosters provide for our rescues! All animals are vet checked and are up to date with their shots and a complete exam to make sure they are healthy before being put up for Adoption. We are always getting messages and calls from people who see these ads on the rehoming sites🤬 I hate these sites but anyways☺️☺️. Thinking a bully breed is a great dog to get may not always be the best for a lot of people. I absolutely love these dogs but if you aren’t going to train it properly this is what you end up with, making it another persons problem. Would we love to help these dogs YES but being a foster based rescue we can’t take the chance of putting an aggressive dog in a home with children and other pets😢 Please do research before getting a bully breed, ITS NOT THE DOGS FAULT🐾🐾🐾❤️

I wouldn’t dream of playing favourites with my pups 🤣 but… Zed has a special spot in my heart right now.

He’s not as outgoing as his brothers, preferring instead to hang back on walks with me. He’s a little skeptical on running ahead or being the first to do anything, leaving that to his braver brothers. He’s a big suck and loves having a safe space, right now that’s his bed with his toys. I get the feeling he’ll be the sort of dog that has his favourite person- his human will be his best friend.

Zed is 3.5 months old, has received his first round of vetting and has been around big dogs and loves them. He has not been around cats that I know of, but he’s young enough that with proper guidance and introductions, he should be fine. He took to using puppy pads right away but I can tell he much prefers to go outside to do his business.

Also, have you seen his coat? He looks like he’s part wolverine 😍

Big Personality #3 (Possibly our favorite)

Ladybug 🐞🐞🐞

Ladybug came into rescue back in September. She was skinny and emaciated, we had bloodwork done just to make sure and everything came back normal. Ladybug is far from skinny now and is quite the cat, she's got a strong personality and she isn't afraid to show it. She definitely needs a companion who is knowledgeable abouts cats and all the different ways they can be.
She will come to you if you call her and she likes to be pet, until she doesn't and that changes in an instant. We can pick her up and hold her, but she only tolerates it for a short time. She isn't mean, but she isn't always loving either.
Ladybug would benefit in a home that will just let her be her. She probably wouldn't be the greatest addition to a family with small children. Ladybug would also benefit from an experienced cat household, you can't be scared of her because she knows if you are. She doesn't love other cats and can be kind of a bully, but she might tolerate a kitty friend who will stick up for themselves or just keeps to themselves.
Ladybug will have to go to home without dogs because she does not like them at all.

Big Personality #2

Emmett

Emmett is an extremely handsome lynx point long haired siamese cross.
He is not quite 2 years old, neutered and up to date with his yearly vaccinations.
Emmett is what we call a "flight risk"
You have to be extremely aware of where he is and what you are doing or he will bolt on you. Emmett is a head boop, rub up against you lover. He loves attention and to be pet and brushed. Just stay away from his tummy or his kick instincts are triggered. You can pick up and hold Emmett, he likes people but because he had a rough start to his life he sometimes forgets he can trust you and this is why he is a flight risk/bolts. Emmett would benefit from an experienced cat household. He isn't a lover of other animals but might be okay with a household with minimal animals.

Introducing some of our bigger personality kitties:

Noodle

Noodle is a peachy orange tabby with a wild side that will keep you on your toes and keep a smile on your face.
Noodle likes to get into things and would be the kind of cat who would stow away in your suitcase and invite himself on your trip. Checking your purse and shopping bags before you leave your home wouldn't be a bad idea..🤣
Noodle will share any meal with you and he isn't picky, he'll even share your salad with you as he has a fondness for lettuce.
Noodle is a cuddle bug and would love to cuddle up with you in your chair or in your bed at bedtime.
Noodle is about 7 months old, completely up to date with his vaccinations & neutered.
Noodle gets along well with his foster cat siblings and doesn't seem too bothered by dogs.

Another set of cuteness looking for their forever homes or foster to adopt. They are 12 weeks old, have first set of vaccinations & have been dewormed.
They are Husky/Shepherd cross and possibly some lab mixed in as well.
The blue framed photos are boys and the pink framed photos are girls.
They are such sweet puppies and would be a great addition to any family.🐕🐕‍🦺🐾❤️

We would like to send out a special THANK YOU to all of our amazing fosters, volunteers, vets & donators. A huge recognition needs to be given to absolutely everyone who has reached out their hands to help in any way and make this rescue as successful as it has been for the past 10 years. Without absolutely each and everyone who has helped in anyway, we would not have been able to help all of the animals we have been able to help over these years. When you hear the saying "It takes a village" nothing could be closer to the truth. So, again we thank you for continuing to help us keep our dream alive. We know we can't save them all, but we are sure going to try to do the best we absolutely are able to.

Sweet little Verna ❤️ she has quite the fight with the carrot and ended up winning😊 This sweet girl is looking for her furever home🏡 along with 5 siblings. They are about 12 weeks old, Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever X. They have their boosters, microchipped and dewormed. They are such laid back puppies with such great temperaments.
