PAWS & CLAWS Animal Rescue is a 100% non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of dogs and cats. Many hours are spent caring for each animal.

Paws and Claws Animal Rescue has been rescuing animals since February 2015. Many of our rescues come in as strays from poor living conditions from places in the surrounding areas. We take the time to assess each animal both mentally and physically before putting them up for adoption. Once the animal has been rescued, we place them into a foster home that is the best fit for him/her. Without our fo

ster parents, we wouldn't be able to rescue as many animals as we do. We are extremely grateful for all the hard work and dedication our fosters provide for our rescues! All animals are vet checked and are up to date with their shots and a complete exam to make sure they are healthy before being put up for Adoption. I can’t believe he’s still in rescue❤️❤️

Do you need a good cuddle buddy? Someone who is pretty chill and not full of bounds of energy?

I have the guy for you!

Dewey is the sweetest, most affectionate dog. He does well when introduced to new dogs properly, he is fostered with multiple other dogs of all sizes, 8 week old puppies (he adores!) and a cat that he basically just ignores. He avoids any conflict in the home and just walks away. Such a good boy!!

Dewey spends most of his day chilling in bed, waiting for bedtime cuddles (he has to be as close as humanly possible at night!) he is such a loveable dog! ❤️

Dewey is roughly 2-3 years old. He is a beagle hound mix. Despite this, he is relatively quiet when at home (except when it’s time for food, then he yells at you while you carry him his dish).

Dewey is housetrained, he is up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. He is a great size for any home!

These two brothers are on the hunt for their forever homes. Both are good with other cats and are used to dogs. Ellis is more people social and will hop up on the couch to hangout whereas Arlo would rather hangout in the cat tree and people watch. Once they get some pets though both are quite the little purr machines. 🐈

Fun Fact #4: Not too many things scare this brave girl. She keeps watch over the house. She barks back at the neighbour’s dogs to let them know who’s boss. Yet, a tiny squeaky toy will have her running to her foster mom or dad for safety.

Our current foster Xena has had a rough start to life and deserves to find that one home that will love and spoil her! My goal is to highlight her here on my own page with fun facts in the hopes that my people (no matter where you are) will share her post and it will find the right person - Xena’s adopter. Even if you are in a different city, province or country, please share, as you never know who will see this post and fall in love with this beautiful girl.

((Momma Cera))

Cera is a happy little lady! Loves attention and always has a wagging tail and smiling face.

Roughly 2 years old and best guess breed would be lab (possibly corgi) cross. Cera is a smaller size dog and only weighs roughly 35lbs.

Cera does well in a kennel, and is currently working on housetraining and doing exceptionally well. She will ask to go out when she needs to.

She is exceptionally smart, absolutely loves to be cuddled and will smother you in kisses. She is a little attached to her babies still and protective of them. She is such a good momma!

Cera has been vaccinated, dewormed and will be microchipped.

Will be spayed and available for adoption on February 21st.

((Littlefoot)) - male

Littlefoot is roughly 8-10 weeks old. He is a timid little guy with a big personality and a bigger voice (at least he thinks so!).

Breed unknown, best guess would be lab/shepherd mix. (Mom is roughly 35 lbs)

Littlefoot does well in a kennel and is p*e pad trained.

He has had his first set of puppy vaccinations, has been dewormed and will be microchipped.

Littlefoot will be available for adoption on February 8th.

((Petrie)) - female

Petrie is roughly 8-10 weeks old. She is a little timid of people, but trusts other dogs and is a little more adventurous and curious than her siblings. She also has a “big” bark and a big personality.

Breed unknown but best guess would be lab cross. She is smaller than her siblings. (Mom is roughly 35 lbs)

Petrie does well in a kennel and is p*e pad trained.

She has had her first set of puppy vaccinations, has been dewormed and will be microchipped.

Petrie will be available for adoption on February 8th.

((Spike)) - male

Spike is the biggest of all his siblings. He is a little more laid back and more comfortable around people. He loves cuddles.

Breed unknown but best guess would be lab cross. He is roughly 8-10 weeks old. (Mom is roughly 35 lbs)

Spike does well in a kennel and is p*e pad trained.

He has had his first set of puppy vaccinations, has been dewormed and will be microchipped.

Spike will be available for adoption on February 8th.

We are looking for an emergency foster for Leo❤️ He is a golden retriever and just turned a year old. He is vaccinated but yet to be neutered.

Adoption fee sponsored❤️🙏

Someone has graciously sponsored Donald’s adoption fee, but you still must send in an application.

Donald has been in rescue for quite some time now.

He is utd with vaccinations and neutered.

He is currently fostered on an acreage with pigs, chickens and other dogs but may be better off with a dog not too many. He does not like cats. He does not roam and has great recall. He loves people and older kids.🐕‍🦺🐾❤️

Meet Stallone❤️ We are desperately looking for a foster or foster to adopt ASAP. He is such a nice dog loves people. Unfortunately he has no manners as he was left just to roam.

He is about 2 years old and he has been vet checked, vaccinated and microchipped and will need to be neutered ASAP.

He has some food aggression as again no knowing when he would get his next meal. He is good with livestock on a leash but not sure about off leash and not attended.

We think he would be great on a farm or acreage and would need some training but he would be worth it. Please let us know if you can help us out❤️🐾

Meet sweet little Howard❤️🙏 Howard was dumped off by the fire hall in Kamsack, chances are because he needs vet care. He is about 8 weeks old, something funky going on with his eye and an aweful skin infection, possibly mange. If anyone knows where this pup came from please let us know. He will be checked over tomorrow by the vet. Thank you Ken & staff at the fire hall for looking after this cutie patotie❤️🐕‍🦺🐾 He looks big in these photos but is quite small, I’ll post video in comments.

This is Amisu
She is about 1 year old, she is up to date with her vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. She will be spayed on the 30th of January.

Amisu came in a couple months ago and was never claimed. She is a sweetheart who is timid at first, but warms up quickly. She loves to be pet and scratched and will rub her face into your hands.
She is a really beautiful cat.
She seems okay with other cats, but prefers her alone time. We are unsure if she is good with dogs. (She would probably just jump up high away from them)
