A warm welcome to Lilou who will be helping us out in the Valais this summer. Lilou is a French paysagiste/gardener who is doing some seasonal work in the Valais.
She has raised doggies and loves walking furry friends in the mountains. Her kind, warm and generous nature melted the hearts of our three doggy guests.

We are thrilled she can help us out all summer and will be sleeping on site during the busy weeks. We are also very grateful to her for organising and setting up the temporary fence!

Chester, Gigi and Grufie living their best life on walkies this morning
The sun is back 🌅
The car is now repaired so we ll be back to civilization soon. Chester goes home tomorrow and the weekend gang of Nhoque and the Frenchies will arrive.

The canine squad rescue team in the mountains!

Lara ripped a tyre of the Jeep on a rock so we called the emergency 🆘 services. The canine rescue squad evaluated the service.

Will get car back in 24:00 hours AND because we work as a team, our colleague saved the day by bringing up (with her car) supplies for the fence and food for the humans.

Crises or mishaps happen, it’s important to manage them and calmly 🙂 !

Comme annoncé hier, la dégradation orageuse de demain soir sera vraiment violente. On attends de très violentes rafales de vent, des grêlons locaux de plusieurs centimètres et des très fortes pluies en peu de temps, ainsi qu'une activité de foudroiement intense.

⚠️⚡️ MétéoSuisse place le Jura, une partie du Bassin Lémanique et du Plateau, le Sud et le Nord-Est du Valais en degré 4, ce qui est rare.

Les consignes suivantes doivent être respectées :

⚠️ Vigilance absolue à proximité des rivières et des cours d'eau qui peuvent réagir très rapidement.
⚠️ Prudence dans les Fanzone lors du match de football Suisse-Italie ou d'évènements en plein air. Les organisateurs et les responsables de sécurité doivent avoir un oeil attentif sur les conditions météorologiques.
⚠️ Rangez ou arrimez ce qui peut-être emportés sur les balcons, les terrasses et le domaine public.
⚠️ A l'approche d'un violent orage, éteignez et déconnectez les appareils sensibles comme les ordinateurs, les télévisions.
⚠️ Nettoyez les écoulements (gouttières, égouts... etc.) pour éviter les inondations
⚠️ Ne stockez pas de produits toxiques ou chimiques ou d'animaux de compagnies dans des zones inondables (proximité d'un cours d'eau, parking ...etc.)

⛔️ Idéalement, les activités en plein air non strictement nécessaires devraient être évitées dans les lieux les plus critiques (forêts, lacs et montagne).

News from the doggy hikers in the Valais: Alba, Gigi, Waffle and Raclette.
Chester prefers shopping 🛍️ (no joke!) and has gone off with Lara to get some supplies. Lara suggested a walk that he politely declined (and ran back to the car!) - his mum confirmed that he has a soft spot for the shopping centres and hates the heat! Lara did manage to get him to walk a bit!

Why the Valais? After 38 degrees in Aubonne last year, we realised we needed a place out of the heat. We are at 1500 meters and the weather is great (Hen is monitoring daily 😝) -
