In this video she is perfectly demonstrating one of the reasons this species is facing extinction in the wild due to unsustainable trapping and habitat loss. Lulu's ability to mimic nmeans that this species has become a prized pet all over the world. Lulu was bred in captivity and has never been trained to mimic human words. However, with the intelligence of a 5 year old human, surrounded by humans and other parrots, she has picked up sounds of both her fellow parrots and English words regardless.
