🚨Fireworks can be dangerous for pets, causing distress that can take a long time to recover from. Here are some tips to keep your pets safe during fireworks:

✅Keep them indoors
If possible, bring your pet's cage, hutch, or enclosure inside to a quiet room, garage, or shed.
✅Provide a safe space
Before fireworks start, move your pet to a safe space with toys and other things they enjoy. Blackout the space so they can't see the fireworks.
✅Mask the sounds
Close windows and curtains, or play music or TV to muffle the sounds of fireworks. You can also try using white noise.
✅Walk your dog on a lead
If your dog is scared of fireworks, keep them on a lead so they feel safe if they panic and run away.
✅Make sure your pet is microchipped
Make sure your dog's microchip details are up to date and that they are wearing a collar and ID tag.
✅Treat small pets with special care
Small pets like rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, mice, ferrets, and birds are easily frightened. You can try covering their enclosure with a blanket or duvet to block out the sight and sound of fireworks.
