The Pulin breed is a versatile farm dog that can hunt, exterminate rodents, and an excellent herding dog and flock guardian. They are great for protecting their home and family. Pulin's do not bark without a reason, however their bark can be quite loud for such a small dog. They have a bark to alert and one for play. The Pulin is a clever, keen, active, dog very attached to its owner and family. They are a very active breed and require daily exercise.

"Pulin" Dog a traditional shepherd dog in Serbia, originally from Vojvodina, also known as the Vojvodina Shepherd Dog.

The Pulin is a faithful and loyal dog in the household and valuable herding dog. It is loving of children and even tempered, making a good family companion. This is a magnificent worker, possessing immense drive and stamina, but is also one of the most intelligent and intuitive breeds to be found. The Pulin is a focused, alert and famously loyal dog, committed to its owner and the work it needs to do. Early training and socialization will control its unfriendly attitude towards strange dogs and distrust of unfamiliar people, but this breed is much happier when put to work in rural environments.

The Vojvodjanski Pulin is a resilient and tough working dog, with a strong back, deep chest and a broad, but fairly small head with expressive eyes, small erect ears, powerful jaws and a narrow muzzle. According to the breed fanciers, it resembles a miniature wolf more than a black fox, but the Pulin can understandably be mistaken for a Croatian Sheepdog at a first glance, even though upon closer examination it becomes clear that the Pulin has remained a stronger and more muscular breed than its Croatian and Hungarian descendants.
