Why I don’t have a cheap poodle for you...
Grooming for a standard poodle every six weeks could easily be $1200 for a year and that’s a basic cut, nothing fancy. If you can only afford to buy him for a price that is under a year of grooming then you certainly can’t afford to groom him every six weeks. You don’t deserve to have him if you can not properly care for him. I put blood, sweat and tears into getting him here, just for you to skimp on him for the next 10 - 15 years of his life? I think not.
Veterinary care is expensive. It is very expensive if you have any emergency or have this puppy that is several generations of my love for cheap.
I don’t have a free dog for you either, you know why? Because free standard poodles of this quality are for the people that have proven their commitment and demonstrated the priority that a dog I love will have in their life, it’s beyond what money can guarantee and that person will do right by their free dog. That’s worth more than whatever my 2024 price for a standard poodle puppy is to me.
If your priorities are not in the right place or your wallet can not support a high maintenance breed like a standard poodle, then this is not the breed for you.
Sure anyone can be in the right place at the right time and luck into a puppy for cheap or buy one from a greeder, a puppy mill or whatever, but you’re not getting this quality puppy for cheap and then to his detriment. After all I’m responsible for whether he lives happily ever after or not.
Do you walk into a dealership an imagine that you will find a brand new car at 1986 prices? No you do not.
