🤩 Wonderful Wednesday 🤩

This week’s is about finding light in a difficult moment — and celebrating the strength of our sweet girl, Kira 🐾💪

While her longtime paw-friend Simba once had the privilege of flying to the UK for medical check-ups, Kira recently faced a serious health challenge.
We discovered a tumour the size of a ping-pong ball. 😨Thanks to the vet Dr. Fatima and her amazing team, it was successfully removed during a long and delicate surgery. 👨‍⚕️🩺

Unfortunately, the tumour had already spread into the muscle, and there is a real possibility it may have metastasised. 😔
Still, Kira has shown incredible strength — she’s recovering well and is already back on her paws, full of love, courage, and tail wags. 🐕❤️

We’re so proud of her and beyond grateful for every single day we get to share with this sweet soul 🥹🙏

🥰 Monday Moods with Meya 🥰

This is Meya – one of Pinha’s pups and one of the sweetest souls we’ve ever met. 🧡
She loves nothing more than cuddles and would happily be carried around all day… even though she’s way too big for that now. 😄

Meya is our little adventurer – jumping on tables, climbing fences, always curious. 🪂
She was the most delicate of the litter and, in the beginning, our little worry. But wow, how she’s blossomed.🥰

We found Meya, her siblings, and their amazing mama Pinha last year near the main road in Espargos, right next to a busy bus station.🚏
We didn’t think twice – we just knew we had to take them with us.

Now, seeing Meya thrive fills our hearts. She’s grown into a beautiful, gentle spirit, and we’re so proud of her. 💛

Great news to kick off the weekend! 🎉
Bolt, Nala, Buster, Chase, Annie, Pepa, Clyde and Oreo have all passed their rabies tests and are officially ready to travel by the end of September! 🌍✈️

These sweet souls are now one step closer to finding their very own forever homes 🏡❤️
Could one of them be your new best friend?

Unfortunately, Cassie and Biscuit didn't pass. We're keeping our fingers crossed that they pass next time!🤞🏼

Animal welfare charity on Sal, Cabo Verde

Our mission is to reduce the number of animals living on the street through sterilisation campaigns and the promotion of responsible guardianship of animals. We have been running free neutering clinics since 2010 in conjunction with Tieraerztepool from Germany. We have a Rehoming Centre where we take care of sick, elderly and vulnerable dogs and many of these dogs are hoping to get a second chance in a proper home. Visiting hours are 11-13h Monday to Saturday. We welcome volunteers, there is always plenty of work!
