Crazy monday selfie. We did a pregnancy ultrasound and i was certain to see at least two. The golden rule for ultrasound is that it can be two more or two less. Well 0 would have been weird . Low and behold that she birthed just one….. I guess there will be a follow up xray or ultrasound just to be sure. Because the mom is one precious bundle of joy. Ok and a bit naughty because this was not a planned pregnancy… dogs will be dogs…

Crazy monday selfie. Today started out sads a 45 yrs old parrot died despite all efforts. MThat was sad . Than . My sprint training went well. That was good. Kinda yin yan.. and than it was just a roller coaster of things.ughhhh . Tommorow will start with an emergency euthanasia of two aggressive dogs. That is sad. That will bring my average up to one euthanasia a day….. in the past week. So how do i cope? With death either by euthanasia or because you just could not save the patient ? By sending dark humor reels to my besties. By Exercising . By focusing on positive stuff. By enjoying my pets. As i write this my skinny 12 yrs old malinois is sleeping at my feet. As is my 15 yrs old cat. Everyone is laying around. While one of the parrots shout sleep wel in dutch. I am grateful for my friends, and pets. And my followers Thank you. So it have been really busy days. A wide array of patients. Reptiles( iguana, seaturtle, turtles, tortoises), birds, ( birds of prey, parrots, seabirds)monkey, horse, deer, dogs, cats. ( you g and old)Cesarean, and unfortunately lots of euthanasia for a wide variation of reasons. So that is why we mran a bit behind on our posts ( not she is ON her instagram all the time….) so to make up dor it two monday selfies) # crazymondayselfie

Grateful you lived to max of the spare time you were granted. If there was one sad streak through out this week it was the passing of my friend George. I even named one of the rescue / resident flamingos after him. George on the first picture behind my niece. He made sure i was instantaneously super auntie by arranging meet and greets behind the scenes with the dolphins. With my nieces. I just called him up and asked can we make me super auntie. Your love for music, people and animals is very inspiring. Learned so much about cetaceans. Because of you. Every time you would go away for vacay i would baby sit your macaw. Back in da days.The times i would just randomly drop in and join for the out door trips taking the dolphins. On the boat one time even in my dress after visiting the governor. You are such a cool person. Happy you were part of my animal world. Save travels. Till we meet again. RIP George.

Patient of the week. This poor Bina got chased of a cliff. By dogs. Why dogs because of her bite marks. She was pregnant. The baby did not survive the fall and the mile long swim (she was found a nautical mile offshore) i was at the gym when i got the call so i do think i had a good excuse for not doing the whole training. Good thing because delivery of a dead baby deer is a whole workout in itself. So next time tou think you need to feed a streetdog… when they ate wll ged they have plenty of time to chase wildlife for fun. Or kill live stock. Spay neuter and please find them a home and dont put them back on the street. Because bof this and more reasons

Crazy monday selfie on a Tuesday…. The black headed caique are native to the canopy of the rainforest in south America. Peru, Bolivia, Brazil. I have seen them foraging in the wild as i was working on a 17 meter high platform, years ago, when working in macaw conservation in Peru. They are as funny little clowns in the wild as they are in captivity. Please make sure that if you purchase on 1) its bred in captivity and not from the wild.2) realize they need high quality food and no peanuts and sunflowers are not what they eat in the wild.that is not a healthy diet. Feed them pellets, vegetables and fruit. A boiled egg. Pasta with sauce is also a great treat. 3. They can live 40-50 years!!! So if you are over 50 make sure they are in your testament and that you have an owner for them when you pass away. Have a great week.

Well i see those reels where real friends will grab a shovel when you show up at their house with a corpse… My besties just grab their car keys if you come up with the crazy idea to shoot X mas and holiday pics with Bob in the midst of the night. We wish everyone a good festive season. For most it is a season of joy. For others is a time of stress and sorrow, where the feelings of loneliness and missing loved ones prevail. Dont worry this too will pass. I hope for the ones that are there in a dark place despite all the festive lights. That you find a way to reach out to friends and family. Hugg your pets. Take your dog on a walk ( or your goat , donkey, cat, bird) Enjoy the beauty of nature. Or the silence in the pause of Bombings if you are in a war zone. Honor the memory of loved ones by recalling great moments of the precious times together. Go out there and make memories. Life is short. X mas days are shorter. Crazy Monday selfie. I had so much fun with this dog. For starters bi had my hair in a bun, realized i could do the same hair do as the dog and it was just me laughing . Owners could bot keep a straight face either way. But it worked. Fun fact this pup was totally brown when she was younger

Crazy selfie Monday. Its was quite a tiring eventful weekend shift. With a tail on Monday with a 15 yrs old hart patient that got trapped in a sinkhole. I still@love my job. Hahah and the adorable dog in the picture. Poor zeke does nit love being on the vet table. Alas sucj is life sometimes. Hooenyou have a good week.

Crazy Monday selfie. Yesterday i did a teel/ live where i ipened the advent calendar in the cat hotel. I vist wanted to film parts but that resulted in numerous bloopers. I will post them in my story today.miauw. The cathotel will be named Themmy’s place. After the previous owners Mom who lived there for a long time and was an avid Cat lover. Rhe last time i spoke to her. She stopped me in a bookstore. And asked about her cat. It had a small problem. Not long after that she passed.
