All about BARC

The British (Forces) Animal Rehoming Centre - BARC - offers support to military personnel with pets. BARC is a non-profit organisation - any proceeds from our activities go directly towards the support and upkeep of the animals and facilities. Established in 1991 BARC is dedicated to providing an animal welfare service to British Forces in the Western Sovereign Base Area, Cyprus. A

s well as finding new homes for cats and dogs, BARC offers pet boarding and an import / export service exclusively to service personnel. Hello, my name is Midnight

I am a Domestic Short Haired cat; I am 11 years old.

Unfortunately, although I have had several “owners” over the last few years, I now find myself looking for a real forever home!
I am friendly, love cuddles (on my terms). I can get along with other cats, but not always. I don’t know about living with dogs but I’m sure I can adjust.
I would love to have the chance of a home with humans who care about me and will give me a warm, safe place to live.

Hello, my name is Archie

I’m a medium size boy, Pointer x Hound, who is 4 years old.
I came into Barc as the family found me quite challenging.
I am a very well-behaved and trained boy. I am very friendly. I’m good on a lead and love going for walks and I like a cuddly toy.
I would like a home with another, confident dog who can help me adjust to living in a home again.
I have suffered from separation anxiety but with time and patience and lots of love, plus the company of another dog, I am sure that I can overcome this.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our resident cat, Foxy.
After being at Barc for 16 years her health deteriorated over the last few months.
She will be greatly missed by all but especially by Blue, her latest beau.
