The British (Forces) Animal Rehoming Centre - BARC - offers support to military personnel with pets. BARC is a non-profit organisation - any proceeds from our activities go directly towards the support and upkeep of the animals and facilities. Established in 1991 BARC is dedicated to providing an animal welfare service to British Forces in the Western Sovereign Base Area, Cyprus. A
s well as finding new homes for cats and dogs, BARC offers pet boarding and an import / export service exclusively to service personnel. When we posted our last wish list we had a phenomenal response! Thank you to all that donated already. We have now (slightly) updated our wishlist and hope that some of you leaving island (or even if you're not!) can help us with a few of the smaller bits! Cleaning materials are always so handy in the kennels! We will take anything, even part used! So once you have finished your March Out please think about us when you need to dispose of all that cleaning kit 😁. Any items can be left outside our offices day or night! Thank you 🤗

Did you know we have a Pet Supplies Shop at RAF Akrotiri? Opening hours are Monday - Friday 0930 - 1230. We have a large range of pet food, toys, bedding, treats and snacks...in fact anything you need to make your pet happy 😸. All profits go towards caring for the animals we have in our Shelter at Episkopi.

On FRIDAY this week, we will draw the winning name at random.

Barking

We are delighted to share another successful rehoming story. Our beautiful Nina caught the eye of the Rimmer family and is now living the dream 🐶
5 dogs and 1 cat all adopted from Barc by the same family! Dottie and Timmy were best friends, adopted in May 2017, Lucy in August and Annie in October 2017. All are now living the high life in Scotland in their country home. Midnight adopted in May 2019 and Benson December 2022 are living in Cyprus still for now. Midnight has two cats for company and Benson lives with three other rescued girls! #amazingadoptions
