ALLERGIES
Probably one of the most frustrating problems for dogs, their owners and us vets.
With the correct initial treatments and maintenance, we get really good results and a much happier, more comfortable dog.

Baby teeth 🦷 sometimes need to be manually removed (under sedation). This 8 month old puppy had all his baby canine teeth intact… you can see how long the roots are. It’s important to have them removed so the permanent teeth can grow correctly.

Our geriatric patients always surprise us on how well they do with the most suitable general anaesthetic.

She presented with a bloated tummy, owner said she was gaining weight….. but actually there was a tumour growing on her spleen that was also causing her severe anaemia.

After a blood transfusion and surgery, she has gone home and is doing well 🐾

DEMODEX is a mange that lives under the skin of dogs, mainly young dogs. It is diagnosed by making a skin scraping and you can see the parasite under the microscope. They remind me of little crocs 🐊.
This stray puppy started treatment today …

Video of ‘Friend’ walking 2 days after his pelvic surgery 🐾🐾

This gorgeous friendly cat, name ‘Friend’ 🐾… was ridden over by a car 🚗
His pelvis was fractured … luckily there was no internal damage.
We surgically repaired his pelvis and now 2 days later he is walking comfortably again (watch the video in the next post)
Cats really do have 9 lives 🐾

Please don’t feed your dog bones ⚠️❌🦴 🦴
This poor pointer dog needed surgery to remove the bones because he couldn’t stop vomiting from the blockage that the bones caused.
