Here's Zack

Zack came to us collapsed. Our vets noticed that his abdomen was enlarged due to GDV. GDV is an emergency medical condition where the stomach is filled with gas which causes the stomach to twist around its self. This condition occurs suddenly and can be lethal if left untreated. Thankfully his owner reacted fast and our vets after performing gastropexy saved his life. Zack is now home recovering very well.

Here's Bruno

Bruno came to us after a car accident. Unfortunately Bruno was hit by a car which caused internal bleeding in his thorax. Bruno suffered a haemothorax which resulted in difficulty breathing as well as anemia. Blood transfusion was administered immediately by our vets and Bruno had to be put in the ICU unit where oxygen therapy was provided over the next days. Bruno fought and won and he is now happy with his family. Pet&vet team wishes him and his owner all the best !

Here's a stray kitten which was brought to us by a rescuer as an emergency case. As you can see the kitten somehow managed to stuck it's head in a water pipe. The water pipe not only injured her skin over the neck area but also caused difficulties in breathing. After light sedation the tube was removed successfully and the kitten returned to its siblings. We wish her a speedy recovery and better luck next time!

Here's Xixi!

Xixi came to us on Wednesday because she was lethargic, vomited once and had diarrhea with her stool being black in colour (melena). Upon clinical examination Xixi had fever and our vets performed blood tests as well as Ultrasound and Xixi was diagnosed with "intussusception". Intussusception happens when part of the intestine folds in itself which could cause necrosis of the intestine. Part of Xixi's intestine was necrotic and she needed an emergency surgery in order to correct the problem. After enterectomy and reconstruction of her intestinal anatomy Xixi recovered and was send back to her family.
