The family of Maria have requested to keep this page in Memory of Maria Ziminia - Local vet who lived and worked in Lemba with Tala Cat Monastery and the local community for the health and well being of all our animals. Maria sadly passed away earlier this year and is very much missed by all.

It is with the greatest regret that we today say goodbye to Dr Maria who sadly lost her battle and was taken from us too soon. We will all remember Maria as a wonderful gentle soul who helped many animals. She was a special person who will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Maria x

Just to keep you updated the Surgery is likely to be closed for at least 12 months. Please do not phone Doctor Maria as she needs complete peace and rest. We will give you a further update at the end of the Year. We hope you are all keeping safe and well and enjoying time with your pets.

We are looking for a vet assistance to join our team. Hours approx. 30 per week 8:00 until 13:00. Would suit mature person or someone with school age children. To assist Vet with prep for surgery, cleaning and sterilising equipment and ensuring the cattery is cleaned each day and animals fed. English, Greek or Russian language an advantage but not essential. Any previous experience in working with animals or animal grooming preferred. All social Insurance and GESY payments covered. Thank you to all our wonderful customers who have supported us throughout this year, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Dr Maria is off for a well earned rest over Xmas so we will be closed from December 19th until January 4th. Please call in before the 19th if you need any food or medication for your pets while we are away.

Xmas stockings maybe ….

Lubo went for vet check today. He was a very good boy but Maria has these new booties to stop kittens scratching when she is treating them.
So cute we just had to share.

Glad to see them looking well and eating again...

You might think there is nothing special about this photo.
But it is very special indeed.
This is Champagne, Pluto and Brandy. 3 of our much loved cats that were deliberately poisoned by some despicable person who lives near our Clare.
Clare and our vet Dr Maria have worked tirelessly to save them. Clare was syringe feeding them and giving them fluids. She kept them in her Cattery for many weeks, which was very hard work because they are free cats used to going in and out of her house at will. Finally they started to eat a little and now Clare is feeding them many small feeds a day. Sometimes as many as 10 times a day.
They are still underweight but all 3 have shown that they have the will to live.
They are back in Clare’s house and they go in the garden for short spells.
Their organs have been damaged so they will always need close observation and special foods but we are delighted with their progress and will do whatever we can to help them.
Special thanks to Clare and Jay and Dr Maria for all their efforts and hard work.
